Wow, bite my head off! Is it that hard to believe tha a 3.0 ltre with twin turbos at 12 psi might just possibly produce over 320bhp? Anyway, reiterating what Stangkilr said - I have only heard a few times of people saying mkiv's were underrated from the factory. I don't know much about that. What I do know is that mkiv's lost less than (<) 15% through the driveline. Also, take into account the miliage on these cars that dyno bone stock. I personally have seen a 299.3rwhp and 299.5rwtq BONE STOCK mkiv.

 

If you can dig up some old car and driver or motortrend mags from 1993 - I believe they test drove the mkiv and came up with a 4.6 0-60 and a 13.1 1/4 mile stock. The mkiv can break into 12s with slicks and a very good driver, though. Its been done. Yea, some of those guys on supraforums don't know what the hell they're talking about.

edit: the #s for the mkiv when they tested it might have been from a modified ecu and alittle upped boost, but then again toyota had mentioned that the powertrain was "frozen" for public sale. so who knows...

I did trap 117 on race gas @26psi last season.

It's a 6spd... New Evo MR tranny he put in after his other one grenaded. This kid's got all the bells and whistles and still loses to an RX7 running 15psi through a tiny *** turbo.

I drive an 03 evo. its neither a auto or 6 speed.

car spikes to 26psi and tapers to 20psi at redline.

guess 1.7 60' foots (on stock clutch) are no good and neither are 11.80 timeslips. i really do need to learn how to drive.
