Silly *** Escalade tried to run me...

I couldn't really believe it, but yesterday whilst heading to lunch at delicious KFC I had an Escalade want to race me. I just ignored him until the douche-bag swung over from the right lane (4 lane road) and got RIGHT ON MY ***! So I just pulled into low and hammered it, blasted to 75 or so in a matter of seconds, left Mr. Caddy way behind.
He isn't done, though.
He pulls up alongside me again, points to head outside town. I wasn't going to at first but thought, "Ah hell...." so I roll my passenger window down and nod to him. We are running along at 40 mph when he hits it hard, gets about a car length on me as I am slow to react, but then I just redline in low, shift it to 2nd and pass him easily on the way to about 120, shift to 'D' and take it to 145 or so and back off. Caddy is about 6 car lengths behind me but as I back of the gas and slow down he flies by at about 100 mph or so.
Guess it made him feel good....lol!

I seriously wonder what made him think to run me.

nice kill. I know everyone says this in every kill you post, but imagine how bad you'd have beaten him with a manual trans.

Though, you're awesome at shifting that auto and use the hold button to its fullest, so I'd bet you wouldn't do much better with a manual.

There seriously isn't much difference from a roll between a 5 speed and an automatic. Keep in mind that in 'Low' I run to 85 mph never taking my foot off the gas, and full and constant boost.
It gets there REAL quick.

Automatics have different gearing, which is good, but bleh. Id rather shift through an H. To each his own, definitely sounds like you have it set up well.

Nice kill.

He knew he would get beat bad. He just wanted to see what your car would do. It's not every day people see an FD. Much less see them WOT.

The newer escalades are running in the high 6 second o-60 times. Not bad for a fully loaded suv. I know my sts pulls really hard when you push the pedal.

He was curious, you smoked him, lesson learned for him.

This wasn't BRAND new, with the 400+ hp engine. It was the previous generation with what....385 hp? Still, EVEN WITH MY AUTOMATIC it was a cakewalk.....lol!
