Rx-7 vs Civic

For the millionth time i have told my friend(ricer civic owner) That my N/A 88 rx7 with exhaust and a cone filter on the maf, would blow away his acaimed vtech(which it dont have a vtech valve cover) with cold air intake from ebay and exhaust from ebay. Its like a 95 or 96 and stock other than the parts stated. My dad has raced civics before in my car and walked them and beat a rsx and tiberon. Just to be sure let me know. Thanks alot

it doesnt have to have the "vtech" valve cover look for the vtech solenoid at the top of the valve cover that'll tell you if ur gonna get "walked" or not..good luck tho

^^ Oh yeah! Put him in his place with that line! Or tell him that his car was just half a car when it started, that it was mising a drive shaft, and that his transmission and differential are mounted wrong. And then ask him why he put a wing on the rear of an FWD vehicle.

I did laugh when he said he got his intake off of ebay and exhaust. Think it is one of those $5 intakes with the cheap filter. And his friend is taking up for him and wants to race me with is 3rd gen eclipse. He would probably beat me i want my 10th to be on the road bad now.

Well the eclipse might be a different story. Depends on what it is, whether it's a RS, GS, GS-T, or GSX. The RS and GS shouldn't be a problem. The GS-t will give you troubles and the GSX will most likely take you..especially if you go from a dig

lol if I had an old Honda I'd rather buy an Ebay intake or make my own than pay AEM 200 bucks for a metal pipe and a filter. Exhaust is a different story...

You'll beat him but not by much, good luck

thats what my buddies do...lol quite sad. just to prove most honda owners are stupid..my buddy with a stock non-vtec d15 187k on the clock no rebuild or anything just turbo'd it. hes running 10psi with only a boost gauge, no tuning done or even a narrowband to give him an idea of fuel issues... and he was driving it like a batouttahell...

hey man honda are fast if they are stock then thats a different story but if he put a swap in then he will beat you. Just cause its a honda people think they slow but now a days everyday hondas that are fixed up are runing 12s no problem. Atleast here in socal.
