Hondas have a built in rev limiter.......i know becouse i work at a honda dealer. all of them, stick or auto have a limit at about 4k in netral, and just past red line. im not going to lie i love the rotary, but there are some factory hondas that are huge sleepers. like the 04-up accord V6 6speed cars, there freaking rocket ships, and they handle verry nice to. I just had the privlige to test drive one of the 06 civic Si's and there just amazing. the other thing everyone allways overlooks is the fact most of our cars are 10-20 years old. computers wernt as fast then as they are now. technology changes. things get better. i think its awsome that my car can keep up with a new Si being 20 years older than it. with very fue mods, on 20 year old technology. and rx-7's and hondas are completely diffrent animals. the rx-7 is a sports car, threw and threw, the majority of hondas, except for the S2000 and Si's, are econoboxes. and i am sorry but IMHO anything that gets 25mpg or better is not a sports car. but to each his own. this is just my .02 and its an oppinion its not right or wrong. if you agree, cool. if you dont, well that you.

EJ
so would a turbo civic getting 22 mpg be considered a sports car?

Good grief man, I wasn't talking about YOU talking ****, I was talking about the two Honda guys that got on here and posted numbers 20 and 21, HondaK20 and 534WHPHONDA.

You're exactly right, it IS my opinion, and I think there's a thing called free speech, which if I remember correctly, is one of the reasons I'm in the military, so we can say what the **** we wanna say. So yeah, if I feel like saying they're worthless pieces of ****, I'll say it. I don't think they're COMPLETELY worthless, they get good gas mileage from the factory, hence it being an economy car. It's just not what I personally am looking for, so please don't get your panties in a wad. I guess I'll just continue to be what you call closed-minded, or as alot of people would say, having my opinion and using my right of free speech.

Good for you, that must have been quite a sight. And actually there are LOTS of 7's on the road, whichever road you may be talking about. (Before you get all bent outta shape, I know it was just a typo and that was a little joke, lighten up).

I love my hondas, and my love my rotary. Street racing wise, a honda has to come out in Drag racing slicks to have a change with me. Hondas are a lot cheaper to hit 13's but after that RWD got the advantage without slicks. I'll pick a 13's rx7 FD over a 12 sec civic.
Those cars arent ricers. Lovely JDM Civic. They have better taste then most civic owners out there.
MR 9 sec crx... Even tho ur car is faster then mine, I get more girls with mine =D Dont clown on an Rx7 when ur car KBB is 1500$ I dont care what u got under the hood. I know i can sell my car for more then urs. Whens the last time a low 90's civic sold for more then 20g's?
I just sold my 90 crx si for 1000. My civic with a gsr bolt-ons for 5g's. so i dont think a crx with a b20vtec can make up another 15g's.
Dont know how much this will help but my insurence cost more then ur car in one year. Go get some class.
If I wanted ur crx, I'll sell my seven but I rather have an rx7 over a honda.

haha owned. a lot of civic these days look nice and clean. but i cant justify racing a honda. just make it look nice and save your time and effort on something else more worthwhile. even a k20 eg these days dont stand out of the croud no more

An H22 motor comes with 200-220hp. Slap a turbo on it, some good tuning @ 12 psi & you easily have 330+hp. And thats not even limited to H22's. ****, Mr NoVtec is making +350hp on a stock block w/ turbo.

Im also from Puerto Rico & also used to going to the track in Salinas & seeing 1st gens shooting nitrous & hitting 9's, which you would really need 300hp to do in a first gen.

**charles mr no vtec cars runs good seen it few times on $$ runs
