Well tonight I got my revenge and it felt so good! I ran a 350Z using the 350Z Procharger Kit about 1 month ago. I lost the race because I thought I was on 14psi when I was actually boosting at 10psi. My electric Defi boost gauge was off 4psi. I fixed the problem and wanted another shot. My buddy in his 93 R1 RX7 lost to him as well last week.

I went up to the local spot with my fingers crossed hoping that he would show up. He was not there. But I saw a loud mouth 2002 Audi S4 owner challenging a guy. So I couldn’t take anymore of it and told him that I would run him. He then asked what car I have. I replied MR2. He then asked to look at it, I told him it was not here but I could get it and be back in 5 min. He was like and I quote “I will run you for $1,000”. I had heard that he was a pretty fast car deep in the 12s. So I went to get my car and came back. He then asked to see my motor, I told him I don’t see your and you don’t see mine. So then he said ok, lets do it for $1,000, I felt like he was trying to bluff me in front of everybody, so I walked to the ATM and withdrew $1,000 and came back. He then went to his car and came back and pulled me to the side. He then told me that he didn’t want to run anymore. O well, I tried.

But then I see a 350Z roll in and whining like a 4 month old baby. YES it was the Super charged 350. Everybody started yelling when he pulled up because a lot of people had been anticipating the rematch since I had fixed my problem.

He gets out and we start talking, he added a single 3inch exhaust and Mines full suspension to his setup now. His best time at the track from word of mouth was a 12.2 with a 1.9 60ft.

So we set everything up and he decides he wants to go off the line. We roll out to the spot to run and get a red light. My 2 cousins are behind us. Light turns green and we are off. I get a decent launch with minimal tire spin and im out the hole and he is already losing ground, I shift to 2nd and his front is at my rear bumper. I take a quick look in my driver side mirror and shift to 3rd, he is now half a car behind. Take him all the way up to the end of 4th with me ahead by 1 and a half cars and still pulling. I shut down and look in my rear view, the feeling I have is amazing, I am not so shocked but more happy. My cousins call me up on my cell and all I hear is yelling, and giving props, they say I had him by 2 cars when we shut down.

We get back to the spot and we walk over and shake each others hands, he was amazed with how hard I pull on him, considering the last time we ran, I had lost by 3 cars in 4th gear.

We then go our separate ways, him with his head kind of down and me with my chin up to the sky. I am very sad that I am letting the car go soon, but I have to make the sacrifice right now. Anyways, thanks for reading guys. Take care.

dude thats great stuff. although the money thing is something i wouldnt do.....win or loose, IMO, the race is all about the feeling you had after you won. and especially the shaking hands with the dude you raced. i just thinks its the coolest feeling. but thats just me.

oh yeah, and making videos of the person loosing to you if they are stupid in the first place, then posting up on the web like i did .......( my wifes gonna be so mad if she sees this lol)

 

You show me a ATM where some one can pull 1k out and i will remove this BS flag. Untill then I am calling this one BULL ****!!

 

Thanks man, I knew the guy was just trying to bluff me not to race so i withdrew the money to make him look bad becuase i knew he wouldnt run. But 99% of my races are done for fun, i think thats how it should be.

 

Its all good man, I withdrew the money $200 at a time. But there is a member on this board who was there, he can tell you.

On a side note, the MR2 did sell this morning, she is gone.

 

no atm I've ever used let me take out more than $500 a day

nice kill but you cant withdraw 1000 from an atm..if i recall, its about 500 max or max on a certain ATM every 24 hours..example: a certain atm's max is 200, you can only get 200 from there and no where else for the next 24 hours..

 

Youre correct about the 24hrs, but youre wrong about pulling 1000.00. You can only withdraw that much from your bank's atm machine, depending on what kind of bank account you have. My gf works at the bank, I can withdrawl 1000.00/day.

i have one of those small credit union banks and they dont have their own atm's..plus i never had to withdraw that much from an actual atm machine so thats good to know..

 

Yeah that’s what I thought, it was my bank, I just withdrew $200 each time until I had $1,000. Most of the time I try to use my banks ATM's.

 

Nice kill/revenge, also pretty cool of the guy to shake your hand afterwards. Suck you had to sell your car though.

on a side note about ATM's i can pull out 1500.00/day 500 at a time. Anything more and i'd have to walk into the bank.

so um if the max is 1000 at your bank's atm, why withdraw 5 times to get it??

wouldnt it be easier to just get the whole lump sum? and it wont make sense if the atm wont allow it if it will allow you get get 1000 in total anyway..

wachovia doesnt care. i withdre a **** ton of money once and i just got bulled for overdrawing by like 6 bucks.

There was no choice for $1,000, so I did it by $200.

we were following in my all motor RSX. While its only good for low 13's, I was close enough to distinguish the outcome.

The MR2 should have stayed in the family. sadly, my cousin is crazy and didn't know the worth and rarity of his "white" flawless diamond we'll call the MR2. just a little bit more invested into it and it would have been a true beast of perfect styling and performance.

sadly again, my cousin has an insatiable appetite for big numbers and speed. and that holds evident to the MR2, but is also true for the. . .
. . . . . .
