I was just cruising the usual roads last night in my TII when a pack of Civics, 3 or 4( 2 were Si's and the 4th wasn't "modded"), comes speeding up to the side of my car. They proceed to do the usual revving and they start laughing out the window while pointing at MY car! I guess little kids don't know anything about cars. Just as I realized that they were making fun of my RX-7 Turbo II, fortune strikes and they are stuck next to me at the front of a red light. On green I launch it since I don't want to give them a chance and they drop behind 2 car lengths, which isn't as much as it would have been had they not taken 1st to redline. *WHOOSH* as I shift into 2nd and all of them just let off.

You'd figure that would be the end of it, but the whole time after that we were stuck in traffic and they kept revving and acting like they wanted another run with a wall of traffic in front of us. When I got to the gas station / hangout spot they approached me and apologized. "I'm sorry man, I didn't realize you had a turbo so I let off. Besides, my tires are bald and I'm not used to launching with this lightweight flywheel and 6 puck clutch." I was just like WTF? Why did they keep revving, and why does a CIVIC need a 6 puck clutch??? They turned out to be pretty cool idiots, but I think they still don't realize what car I have.

lol funny **** man, same thing happen to me a while back, a guy in a civic hb with 3 people inside of his car was revving at me and i looked at the guy like wtf you have 3 people in there man lol. he didn't care and he punch it, well it was the slowes civic hb i have ever seen i just flored it and inmediately gained 2 car lenghts, then he came at my side and told me that i won because he had passengers and i didn't lol. i don't understand much of this honda guys they first star revving and doing **** and when they loose they come up whit the stupidiest excuses ive ever seen lol.

i love those people i have the kinda deal in indiana but im in an n/a and the first thing people think is that im in an old probe until we pullover and they actually see what car it is and then they say i won cause i have a turbo and i like wtf im n/a. and when i show them my engine they ask me WHAT IS THAT???

I just got my first good kill in my RX7.

I was cruising again tonight when I spot a 1st gen DSM and a 5th gen Prelude off in the distance. I notice that they both have really loud exhausts and that they seem to be toying with each other in an attempt to see who will run first. It's my lucky night too since the light up ahead turned red just in time for them to have to stop.

There's an SUV in the left lane, a car in front of the DSM in the center lane, and just the Honda in the right lane. Of course, I got behind the Prelude. I hear an exhaust roar as the light turns green, and I assume the guy is actually trying to run. I floor it, quickly catch up to his rear bumper, and patiently wait to see if he's serious. Once I hear his VTEC kicking in I know he's serious, so I move to the left and fly past him. That was about 2nd gear when I passed. I couldn't hear his VTEC kick in before since my turbo spooling is too loud inside the cabin. The guy quickly proceeded to pull into a turn lane revving his engine the whole way. I give him credit for at least attempting a run. I had been dying to open it up in comparison to other cars and he satisfied that, despite the lack of a challenge.

Next was the DSM, but when we lined up he decided to behave. Oh well, maybe next time.

Exactly. I can't stand it here in Indiana, the only people who really know about sevens are the seven owners and old guys who used to own them, or have them sitting in their driveways and never drive them.
