prelude V my rx 2nd gen

This is a post that will start out with a question and end with actual results, I was wandering if i should be able to beat a 2nd gen prelude (w/o vtec) and it is also atx, my rx-7 currently dont have any tags or a license plate but we will race soon

i pulled on one slightly when i had my 88 se from a 45 roll, i think i would have beat him off the line even more

i had a friend that has an n/a with msd and headers with full exhaust and intake beat a 98 vtec, of a dig by like a car but he was a good driver

when i first got my t2 i raced a 94 prelude w/o vtec,mine was stock he had intake and headers.i got him on the dig for the first 75ft but when it gets in the higher rpms i just couldnt keep up, but you never know.i say just run it!!!!

If your car is 5spd and running right then you should beat him, sounds like a boring race though.

Ok so it all went down tonight, started off we decided he would call start, and without me being ready he goes, and i bog way down and he was gone with 2-3 links, of course he bragged alot, but i told him we had to go again, after i was ready and reved to a good speed we took of and off the line it was a really close race then i hit second and started pulling and by third he was a car link behind, but over all i felt pretty good for my $1400 FD and it being the first race i have ever done in a 5speed
