Killed RSX last night in friends car

Well last night i went out for a lil while and i called my friend mike up.. he has an automatic fox body mustang. Well we went to the mall and im a far better driver than he is, and we are in the parking lot staring at the wrx he creams himself over everytime we see it, and we hear this throaty *** honda sound.. and i see a red RSX pull up with 4 kids in it.... So we jumped in and followed them and they kept tryin to leave us but i kep blowin right up on them.. So we got to a secluded road and we lined up. I put it in 1st gear auto, and i let him go. Well i pulled past him and the road is about 1/4 mile and i look at the speedo and im doin about 105 and i see we gotta stop so i made the stop and then we pulled in the parkin lot of my school amd chatted for a while.. I mentioned my FD and he kinda shuddered and went quiet and then i was like ok im leaving so i was right next to him and i started to brake torque it and i cut the whel and did a drift-esqe type where i went around his car and went sideways out of the lot and that was the highlight of my night.

So does that mean you can bump the shifter from "D1" to "D2" faster than he can, or what?
