The Evo would be quicker to 60 than the RX too, purely from a traction point of view. After that the RX would definitely KILL the Evo, that's why i bought it !!! I don't know of any RX owners in the UK who have hit a sub 4sec 0-60 run. Where as Evo's aren't a problem when you're talking that power.
I truly don't mean to sound like a complete argumentative t*sser by the way ! I'm still learning so bare with me ! I can only go on what i've seen with my own eyes....

Matty - Evo weighs around 1380kgs i think, not 100% sure though. 0-60 over here is quite important, there's lots of events that cover the best 0-60 cars etc..... Simon Norris runs sub 3secs as did Martin Hadland in his Reyland Cossie when it was in one peice, he ran a 2.8sec to 60mph. So in answer to your question, lots of people are interested in 0-60mph, so no, it's not meaningless.
I know driver and rider ability arguments are a bit pointless, but you can't ignore them either. This was meant to be a bit light hearted and thought i'd post to see if anyone has any interesting stories of encounters with bikes etc. If it's not something your bothered about, don't read it, and don't reply. Simple.
'How to win friends and influence people' - Great book, give it a go.
