So I was cruising down central ave, a big 3 lane road with stores and **** for about 3 miles, and i line up with a mach 1 at a light. At first he doesn't even look over, but I could tell he was going to hit it, so I gave a little rev at him. He gave one back, and when he let off I could see his car change stance. Light turns green and we both hit it. He spun through first. I launched at 3k rpms, didn't bog due to bald tires, got traction by around 4500 rpm, and before shifting to second he had two cars. After I redlined second, he had five. Shifted to third and the gap kept getting bigger, then we got stuck at a light. We bullshitted for a minute, he asked if I was turbo, I told him no. Also said that if I was turbo the race might have been a little bit closer, lol. We did it a few more times, then he got onto an on ramp for a highway. For those around here he got onto the sprain at the end of rt 100, before the on ramp to 87/ the ramps to the cross county. He gave the thumbs up, so I threw back with a few beeps and a thumbs up of my own.

It was real clean, he had a little carbon fiber hood scoop. I'm not sure about intake/exhaust, it did sound pretty good though, but I don't know much about them. Maybe they come from the factory like that.

Overall good race though, nice guy. My mods in sig.

The black scoop is metal and it is factory. It was most likely stock. Really low 13s from the factory. Most mach 1 and cobra guys are cool compared to the GT owners. They also sound great from the factory due to their 4v DOHC V8.

 

yeah a kid at my school owns a mach1 and he's a complete douchebag. he always does burnouts and speeds around people walking to their cars and ****. He wrecked it flying through a four way stop though.. (pwned).

 

i raced one at the drags he was stock and ran a 14.1 and i have my mods in my sig and ran a 14.4 close.......

 

Did a freeway pul with 1 from 60-110, put about 2 cars on him. I have a FD with dp, highflow cat and 3in exhaust. Guy didn't even look at me when he came up, i was going to give him props but o well. Nice race though

 

he couldn't drive.

Thats the problem with most people with fancy cars from the factory.

There is a definite difference between someone who spends time making their car fast, and someone who just goes out and buys a fast car.
