a local shop in toledo has a new challenge i suppose for anyone.... 95 vr4 with only sheppard 6 speed trans in the states with fully built bottom end and fully built head with je pistons 8:1 compression with dual 16g's.... told me $40g's dumped in the car estimated to have over 800hp..... im pretty sure this will be the fastest 1/4 mile in the states....... what is the fastest now for the 3000gt like 10.14sec and damn i wonder what the hell the car would top out at with that sweet *** shepp trans?

 

I know several people with VR-4's. They are damn easy to get into the 11's, as the stock bottom end and intercoolers are pretty good. To my knowledge no VR-4 has ever hit 9's. If this guy has 16g's and stage 3 heads he could do it, but he'll need some major weight reduction. He could shed 300lbs easily with new wheels, seats, and a couple other things.

 

Well, hp doesn't automatically mean the car will be badass in the quarter mile. Its probably just a dyno queen/ topend monster. Badass nonetheless.

The fastest 3kgt in the states (that I know of) belongs to a local guy. The car has been running 10's for a few years, unfotunately it is inconsistant and breaks a lot, but he is a doctor and can afford it!
