Ok the 90 TII had 3 opponents tonight (1 import and 2 domestics).........
1st opponent
92-95 Honda Prelude Dohc Vtec with H22 engine
Mods: Exhaust, the rest unknown? But Vtec is loud as hell and I can hear it over my straight pipe exhaust.
Story: I had just barely got on the freeway to take one of my homies home, and had it in fourth gear and gassed the throttle a little bit to 3k and shifted smoothly into 5th gear which left a nice authentic HKS BOV sound. The prelude was one of the cars passed up and I was cruising at 80mph. The prelude cuts threw traffic and is revvin his engine as he switches to the left lane of the 3 lanes and he guns it. I was debating whether I should push it or not so I wasted like 2 seconds and then found myself giving the 7 WOT in 4th gear from 80-110 and he had like a car on me and he hazzards me and slows down. I then try to pull up to him but he guns it again. and he has like a 2-3 car lead and I downshift to 4th and gun it from 80-105. This time I get to his bumper and he slows down and hazzards me again. My friend and I were saying "this prelude thinks he won or what?" **** that. So I proceed to follow him all the way to the exit he decided to exit on. I pull up to the right of him at the light and we are both turning right. I ask him, you want to go again. He just smiles at me as his girl is saying "NO". The light turns green and we turn right and we are on first gear, I gas for a second to let him know I'm game and have a half car head start but I slow down to 15-20mph. He guns it and gets a half car lead on me as I gun it after. By the end of first I get half a car. I shift perfect into 2nd and continue to give the 7 WOT and can see the prelude fading back. by the time I shift into third gear, I have at least 2 cars and can safely say about 3 cars. My friend points out that there are a lot of cops ahead and so I slow down as soon as I see it and I never got to push it in 3rd and brake hard to make a right into a neighborhood and escape. The prelude had no choice but to brake but he had a lot more room than me and I was goin a lot faster, but he starts skidding as his brakes lock(gotta love the 4 piston calipers). My friend and I laugh as we escape through the neighborhood, and good luck to the guy because there were plenty of cops ahead and I saw them look as he was skidding.
My Opinion & Thoughts: I won the race, but I thought the prelude would of done a little bit better than that. I completely destroyed him just on second gear. Imagine if we went from a dig?
2nd opponent
99-04 Ford Mustang GT
Mods: Loud Magnaflow Exhaust and ?
I was getting close to an exit about a 1.4 away. The mustang is tailgates me then tries to cut me off and as soon as he gets to my door I throw it into 3rd gear at around 70mph and he gets a half car on me and I shift to fourth. We keep going at it until like 110-115 then the exit neared and I had about 1+ car on him. I turned right and he turned left and mugged me. I smiled at him and went my way.
My Opinion & Thoughts: I was hoping for it to be a better match because I only have a 2.5" downpipe and straightpipe, and I still have the stock catback which is hella restricting my top end. Well, I am impressed with my rx-7's performance.

96-2000 Chevy Camaro SS with a loud *** v8 engine
Mods: Loud exhaust and ?
I was heading to the movies and some car comes from behind and tailgates me like hell and as soon as he gets to switch lanes to the middle as I am on the left of the 3 lanes, he similarly like the GT mustang, guns it and as soon as he gets to my door, I gun it as well at 80mph which is my regularcruising speed and he gets a half car lead, then i start to pull a little getting close to head to head then he pulls on me again and we keep going at it until my girlfriend starts trippin and I stop at 115-120mph and he had like 1 1/2 cars - 2 cars on me. He slows down too but then guns it again and takes off.
My Opinion and Thoughts: I wasn't shocked that I lost to a camaro ss. It was a worthy opponent. and even though I lost, it wasnt by that much considering the fact he gunned it first for a bit before I started on the throttle. I really need that catback exhaust to open up that restriction I am having right now. With a Full 3" Exhaust and 12 psi, I'm thinking next time will be a lot different. Still, I am happy with my engines performance thus far. I have no regrets about this car and now I love it even more.

also i talk to a kid with a honda and he said the reason why the civic lost to the 7 on pinks was because they broke a viscous coupler or somthing and they couldnt fix it. i thought you have to go on that show with everything running top notch and go through inspection? and i said the honda was slow and he said if the civic had full slicks it would have hept up and i said "umm bud the honda had full slicks and the 7 had drag radials and plus you had a 3 car length lead and got owned before the civic even crossed the starting line" then he got pissed and left and i finished the sale on my t2 hood.

your car is turbo mine's n/a(then why the hell you star reving your damn engine to look for a race).or the typical one, i misshift lol.

ive beat a couple of hondas and 240's and they say damn how big is your turbo cause you beat by lik 5 lengths and i say its like a t4 or something and i ask them if they misgif and they say no and thats when i tell them im N/A and then they feel like a dumbass. Kinda like the Z28 i killed awhile back. Damn i Love a good laugh... HAHAHA!!!
