New AMG GTS vs. 432 RWHP FD

I was driving home from some dinner with the wife in the CYM FD last night around dusk on the highway when some headlights come zooming up on me. I thought it might have been an Audi R10. He would not get off my license plate so I downshifted to 3rd @ ~70 mph & walked the guy by a few bus lengths to get him off my back. He decided to come back & try again. I was about to just move over & let him pass but he decided to change lanes (again, ~ 70 mph) & floor it to shoot past me. I let him get right next to me so he had a "head start" before flooring the RX-7. He pulled me until about 2 cars, then I started reeling him in 4th gear...quickly, until I got right on his bumper....I then eased off as traffic was upon us (I won't speed in traffic....no way. He decided to start weaving traffic & I just let him go as I'm not into endangering others). I only realized it was an AMG GT when it was next to me. Good looking car (his was silver/grey in color....it had AMG plates on the back....must have been brand new). I've seen 11.2x's on Drag Times trapping ~ 128 mph....it was pretty quick but he needs some more mods. I know people will start modding them (headers, ECU...maybe more boost) & AMG will start releasing more GT models with more power to compete with the 911 TTs pretty soon. It was pretty quick but I think he was surprised seeing me on his **** so quickly after giving him a substantial jump.

Anyway, thought i'd share.

Nice! With 430 rwhp I have no doubt you would have kept pulling him pretty hard.

Thanks and yes, my older brother (Mr. RX-7 TT on this forum) has been building & porting rotaries for ~ 30 yrs as a hobby - he's highly proficient. He lives in your neck of the Woods, Va. Beach, VA.
