You assume to much. If his car is faster, its faster it. And how do you know if hes a good driver on not?

whats all the hate for about the z06, is the best mass produced american sports car period. i guess any car that only runs 12's is slow...and im not even talking about the new ones.

GM thought it did, but they couldnt get the valve train strong enough for the 01 release, so they took 20 horse power out of it. Thats the only difference between an 01, and the following years. Same block, lifters, pistons, rings, everything BUT the valve train.

Now youre poking at the small things. I believe that it was a 355, because thats what the back end looked like. But the front end resembled a 360, at least for the short amount of time that I looked at it. I know what the back end looked like, because after we were done, and he pulled up next to me, he accelerated again, and got off about 5 exits down. I looked it up to see what it was, and i cant decide if it looked more like a 96 355 berlinetta, or a 99 360 Modena. Appologies for mistaking the name and assuming what it was.

Wow. Those wishing to jump from the RX-7 team to the C5 team to get away from high school drivers ought to read this thread. The grass ain't greener any more.

Thanks peachykeen, it is a nice feeling. I do wish that i got fewer flamers, and less hate on this than i have been getting. But all that aside at least some people are intelligent enough to hold decent conversations. And then we have some other examples. *COUGH*InsaneGideon*COUGH* that make complete fools of them selves, and only insinuate that they are king of the world, when in fact, they are probably more like . And of course, these people are so high and mighty and know everything, that you cant ever be right.
Just because a 18 year old kid worked hard enough to afford a 2001 Z06 with a cosigner as a first car, doesnt mean that im a dumb ***. Youre probably jealous because you couldnt do the same.
And what is wrong with high school drivers, just because someone drives a particular car doesnt mean a damn thing. If i posted as the Ferrari you would call me a rich kid, if i posted that i was in a 94 Integra you would say that im bullshitting. So quit your bitching, realize that more than just "responsible" people drive cars PERIOD, and dont be an ***.
Now, STFU, and stop flaming me.

Thanks for the info, but unfortunately, all of the events are passed for this year....so uh....yeah. But honestly I have looked into the SCCA, and i would like to race the professional classes, which is why i want the liscense, im sure you know more about that than i do though, since ive only read about it. Are there dues for the SCCA or a enterance fee to run those events? I dont really have spare cash...

You know reading through all this, some people just came out swinging at Rotary Noob for reasons that are obviously misplaced.
It's funny how older members nit-picking over the difference between an 01 and 02, or assuming he thinks he's the worlds best driver, act less mature than the stated 18 year old poster. From what I can see, with all the negative in this thread, I think the 18 year old handled himself pretty well, not responding in kind. If this person was 40 and with an FD preventing a cut-off move from a Ferarri at 140 mph, you'd all be cheering him on.
I think if this person handles himself this way on the forum with the wolves, I'm sure his judgement will serve him in real life better than some of the old guys hating...
Besides, the guy posted here because he feels more like "us" than some of the other car groups out there. What's better than an inexpensive sports car beating a cocky Ferrari driver? I always defend myself from being cut off by people who don't signal and think they are fast, sure I don't do it as high as 140 mph, but I'm not a hypocrite running out to cast the first stone at other speeders.

you should really have learned by now it's useless trying to be the sensable guy and solving the forums problems. talk about assuming too much.. cocky ferrari driver? who said he was cocky and who said he was a he it could have been an old woman for all we know, hell this whole thing could have never even happened too. he said it was a 355 modena oh wait maybe it was a 360 or a.. fiero with a body kit.... WE DONT KNOW! there is no video saying this event even happened and the story teller doesn't even remember what the car was in the first place.. and we are all supose to take this seriosly?.. please

i think part of the flaming is because he has a vette, but also because he is new to the forums. this is the typical welcoming committee everyont gets when they are nOObs. you will get some thick skin on here and learn how to dish it out even better than you may already be able. one thing though, giving yourself the screename "rotarynoob" was probably not ur best choice.
congrats on getting through our **** (myself included)!!!
