My first kill in my FC Turbo.....

ok, its a little weak, but man I can't find anyone to test my car against. My dads ex-wife's son caught me at the gas station. he came up in his 92 honda si hatch with his friend. He was surprised I actually got it running all this time. Anyways, he asked for a matchup against his car. I was thinking uhh....its probably no use, because he only has a single cam. Well, I do know that he beat a integra gsr and kept up with a rsx type s pretty well, so I thought about it for about 5 minitues and after he convinced me, I said, "sure why not", because he wanted to see how fast it is compared to his car. The first run was off a roll about 20mph. I downshifted to 2nd to give him a chance. By the end of second I had like a car, and I would of went further if I topped off 3rd. He then said he thinks he can have a better chance from a stop, because his car is lighter. So I rev to 3k rpm (I think might of went lower), he revs up and I give him the signal to go first. He takes off and I react fast and launch, but sadly the rev was to low and my car churped, and dropped down to 1900-2000rpm, so he gets a half a car on me. but I continue at WOT and get a 1/4 car lead on him shifting to 2nd at 7krpm. I shift to third at 6500 rpm and I have a 2 car lead. By the time I shift to fourth at 6000 rpm, I have like 1 1/2-2 bus lengths on him. we got back, and he was shocked how bad I took him. Then I tell him how I launched and that I didn't even redline except 1st gear and he is even more shocked. he tells me, "man, forget my little brother about giving the car to him. I'm gonna sell it now, and buy me a faster car." I guess I killed his pride in hondas. I know this kill wasn't a match at all, but it shows how far superior the 7 is. What I really want race is my dad's 03 Honda S2000. Then that would be fun. Hopefully get that on vid when it happens.

Yeah race the S2000 and get it on video. I have always wondered how well a TII would do against one of those. What are your mods?

Hell yeah... a kill is a kill...

I killed my first one to(well, really wasnt a kill, but I showed him what an RX7 was...) It was aginst a 91 V6 Firebird...(i know, weak) and from a 55mph roll, droped(grinded) into 3rd and floored it... started pulling a way easily but didnt even have time to make it to 4th(damn traffic...) is yours NA or TII?

To make things better, his car is actually a CX model which weighs like 2100 lbs stock plus it has ac ps and a lot of **** removed for weight reduction. The Si weighs something like 2380 lbs. The S2000 is something I want to try before my dad sells it. If my dad won't race, I'll see if my brother can race it for him. Then after my dad sells it, he will probably get his dream car which is cheaper than an S2000. He wants a old school 78-89 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo. When that happens, I'll have some trouble. But hopefully by the end of summer I will get some more mods. My mods are in my signature. But here it is anyways:
1990 Mazda Rx-7 Turbo
-S5 13BT Engine - low mileage JDM engine, Stock Turbo at 10psi, Stock Intercooler, 2.5" Downpipe with straight pipe, HKS Intake with 2.5" TID, HKS Pfc F-con, HKS FCD, Koyo Radiator, HKS SSQV Bov, Walbro Fuel Pump, Black Magic E-fan, Mazdaspeed Motor Mounts, SS Oil lines, Eibach Springs

Future mods is: Mazdaspeed Catback, HKS FMIC, Greddy 720cc, and Mazdaspeed shocks, then I can crank the boost to 12psi and hopefully hold it there until redline.

i'm a little confused, was the car an si or a cx? or a cx with an si motor?

if it is indeed a cx, its got 70hp. the si makes something around 125hp, which more than makes up for the added weight, so it'd be a better kill if you beat a heavy si.

no, its a cx civic with a si motor. If it was a cx motor, it would never hang with a gsr and yet, I wouldn't need to go anywhere past 3k rpm or so to beat him.

I feel sorry for people that own Si's. They are nice cars and everything, but u could get sooo much more for the money their spending on them.

After, I let my dad drive today, he told me my car is too fast for his and believes my high end power is too strong for the s2000, so I guess that is called off. I was supposed to run a wrx but he backed out but said maybe tommorow. Then I was supposed to run a Integra Gsr with mods, but he backed out 2 1/2 hours later and said he had school. so sorry guys nothing right now, but if the wrx does decide to run tommorow, I will have a vid for sure.

under no circumstances will a stock turbo/manifold hold 12psi to redline... its just too inefficient at that RPM.

I'm running a guy with a S2000 this friday for pump gas. S2000 mods are unknown. He does have a stock exhaust from my friend visually seeing it. So hopefully that will restrict his power and keep him near stock if he has intake and headers, and hopefully he has no pulleys either. But this will be on vid so stay tuned. I am thinking I will lose because he might have mods, plus I don't believe in myself because I have stock y-pipe and mufflers restricting. What do you guys think? I hit 8psi in first, 9psi in 2nd, 10psi in 3rd and 4th. Hopefully I am close enough to low 14s which is what an S2000 runs. Check out my mods below. I am carrying my pride of the FC into this battle too, so I don't want to lose. Right now, there team underestimates me because they only know that a fc runs 15.1 in a 1/4 mile stock. Thats why they matched against a modded integra gsr. but the s2000 is a whole different car and plus its RWD. Hopefully I come out on top and I will have it on vid.
