Thumbs up mustang gt vs. 88t2 guess what?

okay i just got home and i was casually driving my 88t2 with slight mods as followed, hks intake, ss autochrome exhaust w/ downpipe, 720 secondaries, 255 fuel pump,safc-2, greddy profec b-spec boost controller, hks fcd, and 17' konig crosshairs.

So this dude in a very clean 87-90 gt stang pulls up and wants to run. So i turn the boost up to 10psi and we go for about 1 mile and i dusted his *** clean!

I mean i know the car is fast but i would have never thought that it would hand a gt its *** like that.

I am so pleased with this cars performance, thats the first race i have ever had and i know i did good because the stang owner gave me a thumbs up as we were slowing down, and replied,''man, thats a fast *** 7''.

This is my first t2 and i must say that with the right mods and done correctly, its a beast.

Just thought i would share and see what you guys think. BTw this GT was no bucket either, very clean, and the guy was pushing that 5.0 hard.

Not to hard to believe you beat him with 10 PSI. The fox bodies only ran 14's stock.

Whoa, big kill man, a 13 sec class car walks a 15 sec car. My taurus could own a stock fox body GT..... my FC NA way back when it was still rotary powered could have slapped it around.......

how in the world did you control the boost with a stock turbo? Even with the boost controller, the wastegate isnt large enough. Even with porting the wastegate and your full exhaust your lucky to keep it down around 10, without creep. Unless your running a larger external gate

gee...stock vs roderately modified, there's a shocking turnout. I am sure it was stock, because you can get a 5.0 Fox Mustang to run 11's with bolt ons...

well regardless of what mods i do have and whether or not the fox was stock it was just a good feeling beating that car the way i did and it being the first time i did race this particular t2. I know it was nothing special, but it was a good felling thats all.

I was not boasting or thinking that my ole 7 was the shiznit. I was simply talking about the surprise of this particular car. Thank you for letting me share.

first off i must say good kill. second why is everyone hatin on him. all he is saying is he is happy with the way his car is running and was surprised. he wasn't calling anyone with tons of power out or just being ignorant about it. is everyone stuck up on this site. remember no matter how nice the 7 is it is still a car and makes us no better than the guy driving the rusted out yugo. Or beat up toyota. oh the toyota is me lol.

Now now fellas. Say the Fox had a catless H-Pipe and 4.10 years, that would put it into the low 14 sec range, who knows the mods.

Good kill.
