ls2 gto pulls on me :(

Damn, sucks when you lose. haha

first run we were pretty even and i edged on him slighty then he backed off by 100.

Second run same thing.. we ran up to about 110 (empty freeway).

Third run heat soak was setting in. Dead stop. launched and we were even, hit second and spun a little, he started pulling on me.. . I think heat soak is what got me the third run.

Anyhow, i dont know what mods he had, but that bitch was loud as hell, i had my radio cranked and still heard his exhuast rumbling. I have no major mods, so i guess i can take my lose with good heart. Those GTO's are quick cars though... (ali G Voice ------ RESPECT). lol

My mods in sig.

Don't feel bad, not even Chuck Norris can beat an LS2.

yea and chuck norris was able to bring back a baby lamb by giving it a beard rub, and quickly snapped its neck to show that the good chuck can giveth and taketh away. so dont lose heart he might have done something to his supercharger and be putting down 400-450 to the wheels, while your maybe putting down 245-260. how do you like the torque dampener? i have one just haven\'t put it on yet.

its alright, nothing to great, you feel the idle a bit more, but shifts feel alot firmer under WOT.

Nice runs man

Our cars are gonna be needing alot of mods for those newer cars that are coming out. They are freaking fast already from factory. Now we know our cars are outdated lol

That's kinda weird that you lost... I beat one on the freeway in my old(er) Turbo II when running 11psi on my stock turbo with a mild streetport and bolt-ons. I just walked away...

We went two or three times and the results were all the same. It was probably an auto or something.

Might as well enjoy and like those new fast factory cars because thats what we're gonna get from now on.

No more raw, cutting edge sports cars like the FD was, its all about technology at its finest.

Uhh, why do I not recall there being a supercharged GTO from the factory? And besides, if it WAS supercharged, he would have heard it...

oh and after giving extensive thought. our cars are not out of date. maybe in the straight line performance dept. but i would love to see that GTO out handle our car. it would be embarrassed. straightline performance is the GTO\'s bread and butter it is made to beat alot of cars out there. really i dont know of a car that pulls a G on the skidpad besides the enzo\'s, c6 zo6, elise\'s which already come with track rubber from the factory. now ive talked about mod-ernization power mods (catless dp, exhaust, radiator, intercooler) these are just mods i feel would have been changed if mazda made a 2006 rx7 and would put our cars well above 300hp (at the fly) so we get to the point of aftermarket modification. how much potential do these cars have in the aftermarket? besides s/c or turbocharging them probably not much. i know a guy that put a borla CB on a zo6 and lost power. so while being factory stout, i think they lack the aftermarket potential of 90\'s japanese sports cars. who knows i could just be in denial

Def denial.

The 90s japanese sports cars are the group that will never be forgotten. Prob the greatest up til now. But the new breed of japanese muscle and even american muscle are taking over now. With up to date technology, advanced computer aided suspension/engine management, its hard to say our cars are NOT out of date. Our styling is def still there thats for sure but the rawness of the sports car without the help of computers was once known to be great but now we have taken a step for the better.

Ok i think that makes sense lol

Hey, nice death man. GTO's are insanely quick in stock form and you should have no shame losing to one, even if it only had intake and exhaust. Just remember, at the end of the day, you still have an FD.

I've ran 2 before. Both had those hoodscoops, i think thats the faster version. one was from a roll of 30mph. I heard him gun it so I gunned it. we were basically dead even or he was creeping on me really slowly. I had 1 passenger.

the other one was at the strip, I dont think the guy knew how to drive. He did a massive burnout and acted like he was gonna destroy me as i creeped past the staging area. I destroyed him w/ 3 car lengths.

I think my encounters w/ them were a drivers race really.
