LS1/T56 FC vs K20 CRX+75 shot
LS1/T56 FC vs K20 CRX+75 shot
My car is an 86 GXL with a stockish LS1/T56. Factory manifolds, dual 2.5" -> 3" single catback, 3.5" intake pipe, Frost flash, it did 322/334 on a DJ uncorrected. My friend's car is a 89-91 CRX SI, K20 out of a RSX type-s. He hasn't dynoed his car yet. I haven't had my car on scales since the swap, but we weighed his car on corner scales and it was just shy of 1900lbs without him in it. He's on 245/80/13 slicks, I'm on 235/45/17 DZ101s.
We went from ~30mph roll the first time, both of us in second. I immediately put a car on him and that distance more or less stayed the same until I let off, which was about a second after I shifted into 4th. He said that running that low in 2nd gear made his car bog and he was under his VTEC engagement RPM by a bit.
Second run he was spraying a 75 shot. He went from a slower roll, I was still in second, he was in first. I jumped on him initially, I believe he was at my rear bumper when he shifted into second. I was at his rear bumper by the time he shifted into third. I shifted into fourth and he was ~1.5 cars in front of me.
Pretty much what I expected to happen. I was happy though because my car had been feeling slow, guess it's still quick I just need more power

yeah well, honda guys tend to want to feel important and skew things to sound more impressive when the only really impressive thing is that it is a light front wheel drive car to start with so the P2W ratio is already in their favor.
at the end of the day it's still a grocery getter.
