I was leaving the food court with my friend and there were two guys checking out my FD, it turned out to be this guy we knew from the shop where my buddy had the work done on his supra, and his friend who is the older brother of a kid that goes to my school who talks **** on my FD and my friends supra. Anyway the first guy raced my friend with the supra in his 300whp STI and lost, so what does the guy have parked next to my FD... a single turbo T78 supra.

(Before I go anyfurther let me tell you how this guy affords to have all these cars, back when he was in high school he was in a car accident in his friends ford explorer, and the explorer had a faulty seatbelt that caused massive internal bleeding, so he sues ford and ends up with a multi-million dollar settlement.)

He pops his hood and theres a T78 single turbo, I was thinking I was going to get raped if we raced. The guy starts telling me and my friend how he beat a brabus v-12 twinturbo, a 360 modena, and gave a carrera gt a run for its money, and when I asked him how much horsepower he had he said 590 because thats what the stock supra intercooler is limited to. His friend started talking to me and saying how my car was great for auto-x but the supra would detroy me in a straight line. My buddy and I wanted to see how fast this car was, so we convinced him to show us, and before we left he told us to stay on his right side so we could hear the open wastegate when he passed us.

So we followed him out of the parking lot and we were really excited to see how fast a 600hp supra was going to be, so we headed to the road where we were going to race and he gave me the signal to start an he jumped the gun and I was an 4k rpm so he pulled a half a car length ahead but by then i was on the powerband and stuck right at his rear quarter panel, I was thinking WTF, then I started pulling on him. Needless to say I was a bit confused and by the top of the hill I was a few car lengths ahead.

We pulled up to the light and I told him I was still on stock twins and that im somewhere around 300whp. So hes like "yea RX7s are so much lighter thats why I want one now" Light turns green and we take off and I ******* just walk on him hes 3 car lengths back at the next light. So we said our goodbyes and I turned around to drop my friend off.

My conclusion is that he was completely full of **** about all his stories, how much horsepower do you guys think he actually had?

probably 450rwhp. my friends supra made 460rwhp with the t78 at 16psi before the fuel mods. with supporting fuel and fmic and all he made 650rwhp at 22psi. if he hasnt been to a dyno then his 590hp claim is bullshit. again i would say 450rwhp since you beat him pretty bad. those cars weigh 3600lbs without passengers so that makes perfect sense if youhave around 3- 350rwhp.
