Killed Myself....

I have a ******* ridiculous donut/burnout video of my gsl-se on halloween night. Donuts followed by a 30+ sec burnout. I have no tires left. Someone needs to host this for me. Not on streetfire cause streaming video sucks and the last time we put a video on megaupload it was slow as crap and nobody took the time to d/l it even tho it was a great video. I need this done right. The big version is only 15 mb and the small crappy version is less than 5 mb but we need to post the big one. I popped the top off of the coolant reservoir and my temp guage was completely pegged on the hot side after the burnout. My coolant was boiling and the car was making a terrible sound. I thought I destroyed the car but luckily it started right up and drove like a champ 20 min later after we let it cool down. What can I say I like to have fun. PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND HOST IT, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER. This pic is a little taste.

It wasn't the radiator cap it was the cap on the overflow tank located under the air filter box that sucks up extra coolant when you need it and pulls it out of the system when you have too much. It popped off because its probably the weakest point in the whole system and couldn't handle the boiling coolant/pressure. I have a slightly higher pressure than stock radiator cap on there (the chinzy one with the red tab you have to "unlock" to take off) but who knows if that made a difference.

OMG you guys I just tried to start the car and nothing happened I think it might be flooded. I have no idea why this could be, please help me!!!!!! NOT.

To all the haters,

This is my car, not yours. As such I am free to do whatever I want with it. I did this burnout because it was extremely fun. I understand the risk involved in such an act of stupidity and I completely accept that risk. A burnout like this is not an everyday occurence for me. In fact, this is probably the only time in my life that I will abuse my car to such an extent. Since it was such a monumental occassion and the car actually survived, I figured I would try to post it for others to enjoy so that they might see what it was like without actually abusing their cars to the same degree, as well as prove that the rotary can be tougher than some people think. I put absolutely no one in danger but myself and I would appreciate it if you kept your negative comments to yourselves and simply enjoy it for what it is. Or ignore it completely and move on to more important things in your life. I could really give a rat's ***.

I guess there is really no point in posting the video since no one seems to care anyway so lets just forget that this thread ever existed.

Your freaking retarded. Sell your car and give it to someone who knows how to care for it.

No, I love a good burn out, that wasn't my point.

But you were bragging about having the needle pegged and the caps popping off which ISN'T a good thing for a Rotary...and it won't be a quick death it'll start happening over time like my First Generaiton did...

I wasn't bragging about having the needle pegged, I'm just saying it happened. I know its bad and the life of my motor will definately be shortened to an undetermined degree because of it, and I can deal with that. There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding going on.

And to the other guy who said to sell the car...
I actually do take care of my car. Cars are meant to be driven, not to sit in garages with covers on them. Breaking **** is a part of life and if you can't deal with it (which I suppose you can't) nobody is forcing you to do it. I can deal with the consequences of my actions. I always have and always will. Just because you own an Rx-7 doesn't mean you own every Rx-7. Maybe if I had a Ferrari I would be an **** retentive douche about it but my $3000, 20 year old jap bucket is a car that was designed to have fun in. If I wanted something pretty to look at I would have bought a model and sat it on my desk.

Anything you do to the internals of a car can be fixed and as long as companies keep making parts for the 7 I'm sure I'll be fine short of totalling it, which I don't plan on doing.

Thank You. I'm trying to get the video on megaupload but its slow as crap and estimated time and transfer rate is unknown which makes it seem like it might not work but we'll see.

Stop giving this guy ****. Did he do it to your cars? No, hes trying to get somebody to host a video he made that he thought people would enjoy. I love burnout videos, I dont make them myself because I dont like risking ******* my car up, but they are cool to watch.

Also, your first gen looks sweet. Get the video hosted asap!

Finally, these are the kind of people I thought loved rx-7's. If I didn't want to do stupid **** I would have bought a Taurus like grandma.

Ok I tried hosting the video in numerous ways. Streetfire sucks, megaupload sucks, putfile sucks. None of them work and even if they did streaming video is bullshit. If you guys want to see this video someone needs to step up to the plate and help my computer illiterate *** out or you guys are S-O-L. Here's a couple more pics to motivate you.

Im confused as to why everyone is so pissy. If it wasnt for the overheating there really is nothing wrong with some donut action, unless you hold it at redline for 3 minutes straight, obviously.
