killed a cop tonight
Tonight I was bored and went down to the local track/hangout spot in Oakland. It was around 3am so I really wasnt expecting that many people. Plus, its been really cold lately...people dont like standing outside their cars in these freezing temps.
As I round the final bend to the huge 5 lane one mile long straightaway, I saw a handfull of cars with people just hanging out. I drove by doing the speed limit and decided to bust a U, hit the freeway and go home since nothing was going on. I bust the U and got stopped by a red light. There is no cars in front of me (except one lone pair of headlights in the far distance) and I decided to show off and get to some triple digit speeds on my way out. The light turns green and I get a great launch. It is a cold night and my gs-d3s are inflated to 40psi but they still hooked. I slam 2nd and the rear end steps out a little. I do a perfect 2-3 shift and by now I am comming up on the lone pair of headlights heading towards me. As I drive by at ~120mph I see that it is a Eastbay Reigonal cop SUV :bang: There is no time to even stop or think. I just keep doing the motions and hit 4th gear with the petal to the metal. The cop instanly makes a U turn as soon as I pass him. He never even turned on his overhead lights...probably because he never even had a chance I hit 6k rpms in 4th gear (dont know how fast that is with 3.42s?) hit 5th and just kept on going. I had to slow down to about 90-100 to get outa there because there are some good turns.
I scramble to South 880 and got the **** out of there. I got off 2 exits later and parked my car in a hotel parking lot off the freeway. I had to get out of the car and get my head straight before I made the short journy home.
I cant believe I got away that easy....scared the **** out of me.
BTW- this was in my 2000 Z28.
*NOTE* this is a fictional story that I made up

I did something stupid like that a few years ago. It was the month of December and I was caught speeding and issued a ticket. Two weeks later, I was on Ft Benning speeding down Columbus-Cusseta Highway doing 85 on a 55. There was a Ft Benning Military Cop vehicle in the median and turned his lights on. I had two decisions to make. Get busted or run! I decided to floor it, all or nothing. Was doing over 100+ and never looked back. Got off at the McGraw Manor exit, hid in a dirt road with tall grass and three minutes later saw the cop zooming pass me on the highway.
Scary, Big adrenaline rush, Cool, Stupid and decided from then on not to do that sh*t again...
BTW, my car back then was a 1972 Olds 442. I love Georgia for the old school cars I bought back then....

All of those people who always posts story like about how they killed a cop or some crap is all B.S. because you can never escape the cop except maybe to run and hide.... Don't post some B.S saying you out run a cop. They just call for back up and your *** is in jail.

Sagwa,
If you calling me a BSer, I personally don't give a f*ck. My incident happened in 1993 in a military reservation with a lot of exits to get out of the highway on Ft Benning, GA.
The Military Police car was one of the BS Chrylser 4 door vehicles. By the time he calls for backup to one of his military buddies I was gone. I wasn't in California where you have a lot of cops in every corner. If you don't believe me I personally don't care, I don't have to impress nobody. I wanted to share my dumb experience. But for you to call me a liar, I think it is out of character. If you didn't call me a liar, then disregard what I have to say. Not trying to start bullcrap here, but not everywhere in the USA can you call for backup to catch a car.

Oh my God how could you be so stupid. Never ever ever try to run from the cops, ever. Even if it's really easy and they're slow as ****, don't do it! No one has ever gotten away from any cop ever! Not only does it NEVER work, it's also stupid! You retard! Don't you KNOW that cops have RADIOS in their cars?! They will actually work together to try and catch you if you try to get away! Did you know that you could actually get FINED for driving fast?! You're so stupid! Wow! You should turn yourself in right now if you know what's good for you. I have never ever done anything stupid in my life ever, and i'm way better than you! You shouldn't even be allowed to post stories on RX7club anymore because you're so retarded. I can't believe you drove faster than the speed limit. If you drive fast on the street, you will crash and die! Street racers killed my entire family! Keep it on the track! The track is the ultimate experience! I know we all get urges to drive fast sometimes, it happens everyday. But do what I do! Just drop a couple hundred bucks on a track day! I mean, there's gotta be a track just minutes away from wherever it is you live, right?! Right?! You retard!

My buddy's got a sweet little Rabbit with a 2.0l 16v swap, with a bunch of bolt-on's/suspension mods. He was taking me for a 'spirited' run on a local high-way. We had just taken a sweeping, high-speed turn under an over-pass when we saw headlights coming up behind us. Well, it's obvious that no 'normal' driver would have taken that turn so quickly, so we knew it was a cop.
There's a banked turn-off about 200 feet ahead and the cop is about 500 feet behind us. My buddy RAILS the turn and ripped up this hill towards a darkened, wooded area. The cop takes the turn behind us and we see him coming up on us fast as we approach a stop-sign. We turn left and my friend guns it. We do a WOT 1-3rd gear quarter-mile run on this next, straight section of road. We see his headlights behind us as we enter into the darkened, "rich" neighborhood. Luckily, we're both familiar with the road, so I calmly tell my friend that there's a turn-off coming up in about 1/4 mile that will lead onto a dead-end road where my buddy lives. We proceed to rip through this twisty back-road, knowing that there's a cop doing his best to keep up (although we can't see him anymore). I tell my friend to slow down because the road is coming up on the right. I tell him, "Here, here"! As I point to the road that we pass! He slams on his brakes (which had rear-drums ) and his car STALLS! He tries to start it and it won't start. This is getting REALLY intense. He tries to start it and it fires up. He slams it into reverse and chirps the tires as he floors it going backwards. He cranks the wheel and quickly starts backing down the dark, dead-end road. I tell him to, "turn off your lights! Shut off the car!" So he does and we wait in absolute intense silence, holding our breath.
We see the dark road in front of us (the one we turned off of) begin to light up, signaling the approach of a vehicle. A moment later, the cop FLIES by... We rolled backwards down the little hill that we had stopped on and rolled into someone's gravel drive-way. The fun wasn't over though, because his oil-pan caught on the lip of the road as we were attempting to get into the unknown driveway. In essence, his car because high-centered while we knew there was a close-by cop looking for us!
Needless to say, we waited 20 minutes or so before firing his car back up and eventually becoming un-stuck and getting away... It sucked.

That is a sweet story. A couple of years ago when I was a senior in high school, my buddy showed up late to class. He had emancipated himself from his parents and rode an old motorcycle to school every day with a huge american flag sticking up out the back. Apparently he had been riding a little too fast and a cop started to chase him down. Normally he doesn't do stuff like this, but he decided to try to get away by driving around a busy roundabout a bunch of times until the cop couldn't keep up, and it worked. He took off up a neighborhood and lost the cop.
