Killed by a B737

At the Sacramento airport there is a hardly used public road that runs parallel and pretty close to the runway. I'm out for a cruise and see a Southwest B737 lining up for takeoff. I thought....hmmm this would be a cool race so I lined up next to him and waited for the roar of the huge "turbos" on each wing. As you probably guess jets arent that quick off the line so I let him roll a little before I got on it. Then around 40 mph he started picking up speed real quick so I got on it hard. We were pretty even up to about 80 to 90mph and he then really started pulling hard on me, at about 110 mph he was about one plane length ahead. I kept on it to 125mph and then took a look to see where he was an he was gone! Up up and away he went!

The motor is out for a rebuild now. Next time I wont give him a headstart and see if he can catch me before liftoff.

lol, that was awesome. Maybe if you added stickers, a bass system and the flames that come out the exhaust(like in F&F), you could probalby get an extra 200hp and kill it. Nos is definently needed in this case.

I wouldnt have given it a head start...how fast do they have to go to take off??? couple hundred mph? lol
Didnt a tv show do a F-15 vs a Mclaren F1 or somthing along those lines?

Guess when cars and bikes are not cutting it and you have access an airport, its just natural! I wonder what would have happened if you happened to be near a lake or ocean?

Well, I think it would be a little difficult to turn an RX-7 into a wheel chair accessable vehicle, jackass.

Just imagine what the people in the plane were thinking when they saw a car somewhat keeping up when they're about to lift off.

I saw on TV a viper srt-10 versus an F-18 (think it was an F-18 anyway, maybe 16) They did a half mile. The Viper took the quarter but by the half it was the fighter's race. Nice story by the way, try it again without givin him a headstart.

I raced a Supercharged 20B Fixed wing aircraft in my 12A FB. That was a sick race. That plane was too powerful for its own chassis. The Chassis was made for like a 300HP engine. The guy said the 20B was good for 1000HP at sea level.

I've seen people race cars vs boats on bridges in RL. I've seen jets vs cars on TV. My only experience personally with cross-platform racing (other than bikes vs. cars...) was my cousin and I showed up a Viper on some heavily modified snowmobiles. One of the sleds was a turbo RX1 (R1 of snowmobiles). Lets just say he didn't stand a chance.
