Kill, not in my 7
My cousin that used to live across the road from me has a 80 GMC long bed with a 350/TH350. He is always talking about wanting to race somebody, never stopped talking about racing. So I told him that id let him pick any one of my vehicles to race and we would line 'em up. I knew he wouldnt dare pull up beside my nova, and I highly doubted he would want to test the mazda. So I sortta figured it was down to my daily driver, or one of my 4x4's.
Sure enough he goes, "go get your ranger, ill beat it". I told him ok, and he went and warmed his truck up. We lined them up on our road in front of our houses (good long straight and not alot of traffic or houses). He tried to stall his engine up too high by powerbraking and long story short his truck fell on its face off the line. I had the ranger rev'd enough not to choke down, but not too much to make it sit and spin. My grandpa and his dad were watching and can back me up when I say my ranger pulled 4 car lenghts on him as soon as we took off lol. I figured the ranger would win, it being lighter and geared different...still suprised me how bad the 2.3 4 banger took it to my cousin's 350.

Yea I like it here, my grandpa and his family have lived their almost all of their life and its mostly just family members that live on the road. Most of the people who arent family or friends live on the other end of the road across the bridge.
So, really nobody says anything about us having some fun now and then. They know we watch what we do, and know our vehicle's limits. Some other people on the road just fly around all the time and its dangerous. We've already had one girl and her friends loose control. Idiot came flying down the road at about 80mph (like always) and there is a curve right in front of my house before the straight starts, and at the curve is a dirt road. She was going way to fast for the curve to start with, but on top of that she got her passenger side wheels over in the grass and gravel from the dirt road. Long story short her cavalier slid all the way around the curve sideways and side swiped a oak tree. She told the cops she was doing 35mph and a rabbit ran out in front of her... the 150ft skid marks told the cops the truth.
