Ok, so I'm going down the road doing about 60 or so and i notice this civic shooting up through traffic trying to catch up. he ends up catching up and pulls up next to me and we are doing like 60. i figgured i'd amuse myself and play along. i hear him downshift and hear the distinct sound of DOHC VTEC as he goes ***** to the wall. hmm, sounds like this thing isn't stock maybe i should worry. i'm rolling in top gear and add in about 50% throttle. mr. civic is ***** to the wall and isn't pulling on me. turns out i have nothing to worry about. i just keep at ~50% throttle and am right next to him no trouble. after a little bit we are running up on 80 or so mph and he shifts. he starts kinda swerving back and forth in his lane(turns out something is fucked up in his front end). and it's about this time i decide to show him what's up and try to educate him on what real speed is. i drop a few gears, go WOT, and leave Mr. Civic like he was standing still. i run it up to around 120 or 130 and slow down. i motion for genious to pull over and he does. he was like "DAMN!!! That's fast as hell." which makes me wonder exactly what he thought he was ******* with. i respond with a "No ****..." and he comes back with "This ain't no regular civic, I got a B16 man" while i'd love to come across a civic that would challange me, a B16 just doesn't cut it. so, are honda drivers really so stupid as to think that a B16 will let them **** with a bike? i mean i'm really wondering what made this kid think he could **** with me. i mean he might have a chance if he tried like a Ninja 250 or some scooter. but to go straight out and try to race a Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa, i mean most bikes woln't even try me, what makes him think he's got a chance?

Ehron, there's nothing wrong with Honda owners(as far as i'm concerned). and there's absolutely nothing wrong with the B16 engine, good engine. what i think is amusing/maybe a little stupid is someone tossing a B16 in their civic then going out and trying to race not just any bike, but a Hayabusa. a bike which has more HP than a B16, and weighs just slightly less.

 

Have you seen that vid of the 500hp Turbo Hyabusa? It is sickeningly fast man.

 

 

Actually I have nothing against hondas...nor most of thier owners....I actually love the DC2, the EK9 and the EG 8, and the brand new Si is pretty damn impressive too. But green streak has a point...I mean a lot of people on other forums have the same generalization about FD owners and 7 owners in general, everyones a hater to some extent one day or another. But lets just admit it, that guy was a tard....

 

Yeah, my old room mate would race porsches in his 99 stock civic si. Though he knew he would lose it never seemed to dissuade him.

i think it's funny when my girlfriend in her *bone stock* lowered auto civic ex destroys ricers. most of them around here drive neons... it's hillarious.

 

You ever think that maybe the guy wasn't racing the bike because he thought he'd win? Maybe he was just racing him to see how well the busa performs.
