so me and a friend were in my NEON SRT-4(dont flame please) and we pass a tol and i see this blue turbo II that was making a lot of noise so i go and kinda tailgate the guy ,i was going about 50 in second gear ,when the turbo II takes off i thoug it was a normal turboII so i go after him ,in about 4 seconds the guy was about a half a mile away from me and he let go of the gas ,i catch up to him and signal him to follow me ,we went to a parking lot and we talked and when he popped the hood, there lies a 20b with a huge innovative single turbo,it was great he told me the car had about 530 hp it was crazy fast.

I dislike and would never buy an srt4...ever...but for $20,000 brand new can you show me a better performance bargain?

I don't know about their handling, but they are definitely pretty quick for a stock car and have lots of potential....

I'seen quite a few FWD cars do the brick wall plow when trying to take a turn at the speed the car can generate.

SRT-4 = the best FWD out there, and prolly the best for the next 3-5 years.
Great bargin, and a killer car. Handels really well ( yes they do! even thought they are FWD) .
The are winning rallys all around, and, If I wasn't inlove with my FC, ( and I had an extra 20K$ sitting around) I would get one!

Yea, but can you get stage 2 upgrades & over 350hp under warranty with a WRX STi. The only problem is that they don't lease Sti's, Evo's, & Srt-4's cause they now when you buy one that your gonna beat on them.

 

hey dont flame me ,the car was a b-day gift from my dad, it aint no supercar but its fun to drive,get me from point a to point b,good gas milage, and i can kill most of my friends cars vw jetta,gti,wrx, plus i didnt have the intencion nor the fantacy of wining against the fc ,i just wanted to see it go fast.

 

don't worry most of the tards in the kills section are well...tards. Most haven't prolly seen them on the track before. They are good track cars. the high CG kinda sucks though but overall great car. They aren't placed in fast classes in road racing for no reason.

 

which is exactly what i did. the numbers are a few tenths lower, but a cobb exhaust and computer tune will take care of that no sweat.

 

i have seen srt-4s absolutely smoked on track by wrx's and STI's, not to mention miatas (- the straights)

 

SRT-4's are no joke. They are fast and can easily be made very fast.

 

How many times is this retarded discussion going to come up. Nobody is arguing that there not fast. However, nothing you do to a neon is going to make it a "cool" car. You can make it 1000 hp its still going to be an ugly **** box.

SRT-4 motor can handle a good 600hp or so. It's a complete beast as far as 4 bangers go--far superior to a 6 bolt 4g63 (stock for stock). I'd like to see Chrysler put it into a more sporty RWD or AWD platform.
