alright, not to dis the eclipse but i am very anti-dsm and this guy brought the thunder down on himself. this actaully was 2 races at once but it started with an eclipse GT looked to be about a 2000 with fart can exhaust, maroon paint, mile high wing and many stickers, including a banner across the rear bumper that read www.american#1.com ...pretty weird to see on an import. the car also had euro taillights, a bodykit and rims. i see him coming up behind me on rt 222 on my way to classes today, i continue at my steady pace figuring this eclipse isnt worth wasting the gas. the lane next to me is empty so he does a ricer fly by. i was just gonna let the retard go, but as he is slooooooowly passing i look over and he's pointing and laughing. wtf? he car is straight outa 2 slow 2 furious and hes laughing at me. he decide to teach him a lesson. after he passes me he gets over in front of me, he must not use his rear view mirror or he would have noticed the large front mount. he changes lanes again and i make sure i pull next to him slowly to make sure i dont pass him. he looks at me like i'm not worth his time, at that point i downshift (i wanna make sure i really embarass him) and my hks ssqv screams as his face goes white. i put about 10 buses on him b4 slowing back down. i thought he learned his lesson but he came buzzing back trying to do teh ricer flyby again. i stay in fifth and easily pull away so he cant pass me. about this time we come up on a white mustang v6, about an 2002 or so, rims, euro lights, bodykit that the exhaust comes out of,,,very gay. he sees me coming and tries to get a jump on me. he may as well have put it in reverse. finally the 2 ricers left me alone and just fucked with each other. some of the dumb ones have to get the same lesson a few times b4 the learn not to mess w/ something twice as fast as them. as for my car, its the same one from teh s13 vs 350z kill thread...'93 s13 hatchback w/ redtop sr20det, 3" turbo back, hks ssqv, large fmic, and someother stuff, boosting to 11 psi right now, but i'm always getting something to go faster. thanks for reading through all that, hope you enjoyed it

You live in Willow Street, right? We're in Manheim every weekend, and usually with the MB FD. The VR FD is not street worthy yet, but she's getting there And our friend in Manheim is also looking to get an FD.

Is your SR20 modded yet? The MB FD is pretty close to stock, so maybe you can get a run or two in if it's warm enough.

 

Not to nay-say, but this wouldn't actually be a DSM. DSMs only include the 1st and 2nd Gen eclipses. Great kill though!

yeah, im actually in ronks near good n plenty restuarant. the sr20 has 3" exhaust, intake, large fmic, 11 psi of boost, GReddy profec b boost controller, hks ssqv and some other goodies so we'll have to see

btw, DSM is ONLY considered an eclipse/talon/laser with a 4g63T, or the turbo ones. and they defiantly do deserve respect. but the non-turbo eclipses are a joke... and yes-rice.

i dont care if they are turbo they get no respect from me. even if they are modded and fast doesnt mean they deserve respect. performance is important but there are other aspects of the car that i will never respect.

actually, the non-turbos had chrysler engines. a mitsu with a chrysler engine is a DSM.

lol, i understand, but if you look at my comment i stated that i realize its not really a dsm and i also said i dont care how fast they are i wont respect them. i personally know a guy w/ a 95 awd turbo that dynoed just a little over 350 whp. he was a cool guy but i dislike those cars. i'm not saying i have the fastes car out there and i'm not even saying a car i dislike couldnt beat me, im just saying i dont like them and wont resepct them. besides i would never try and tangle w/ any heavily modded car with my current set up, yeah its noce but i dont have that much done. now if i were to race a dsm w/ the same mods as me im fairly confident that i could take it. and u dont need to say i would cry, thats uncalled for since i didnt try to start anything, i would just go home and get the '71 chevelle SS and destroy the dsm that beat me. lol

not sure, havent run it yet. its the 454 ci motor. im not denying eclipses and **** can be fast. but if u live around here there is nothing really tearing up the street besides a supercharged mustang gt and a 9 sec nova. teh fast dsm around is slower than the 454 so thats all i need. lol im not throwing out a challenge to dsms across teh country, i just know what the local scene is like

yeah it be be to some people, but i care about more than the 1/4 mile. i dont like the looks, they are heavy pigs, the sound of them (even fast ones) is horrible imo, they dont corner too well (most, not sure about the awd), and its just my personal opinion. if i see a talon go 10s i'll be like "damn thats fast" and then say "that looks like something i leave in teh toilet" not to offend dsm fans i just dont like em

 

Hey JDM Infini...I hate eclipses and DSMs and whatever else shitsubishi and dodge put out, but there is an 11 second eclipse near my house. I don't **** with it....yet...

btw: it's white with a body kit, ugly fog lights and a large fmic, if you ever see it.

 

hmmm, i'll keep an eye out. havent seen that one there is a fairly quick older one thats dark green and says talon on the side in big letters. its awd like a 91 or 92 its this kid's dad's car got a turbo from an evo according to him and other stuff. runs like a low 12 maybe. nothin too crazy. i bet that white one would fall prey to the 454. and even if they are faster, i look in my garage and driveway to see a 99 integra gs, a 90 rx-7 gxl, a 93 240sx, iroc camaro (coming soon), 71 chevelle, 72 chevelle, and i thank God that none of them are dsm.
