a little backstory first. I'm in a car club called Afterhours. My best friend and president of the club drives this nasty *** little honda (I mean that in a good way, it's pretty clean and is one of the faster imports in town. and it's funny as hell watching him tear up muscle cars.)
his mods_ MSD ignition, intake, exhaust, Quaiffe LSD, Japanese racing tranny, (only about 70 of them made, according to the Honda Company.) Oh, and the ever-important go-fast button we all know as Nitrous (fun stuff, for the record)
My Mods- Magnaflow High flow muffler- only put on as a necessity, as the one that it was sold with was some 3-chambered piece of crap that was back pressuring the boost. and that's it.
first time, I was at about 40 MPH in second, as was he, so, basically, boost built up Vs. Vtec engaged. He was on my door until I grabbed 3rd, and then I started to pull away, but not super fast. then we come to a stoplight. that means go time. I set my revs @ 4200, slip the clutch and give it more gas as it hooks up. we're both squauking (sp?) the tires a little, but pretty much we both hooked up. He was right next to me, and actually looked like he might have me. grabbed second, pulled about a car and a half. grabbed third, and it was over, he wasn't even close anymore. I went into shifted @ about 6000 rpm's, and pulled for a second in 4th to rub it in. that was the fastest honda I have raced. so far...

 

was he spraying on you?

 

Only car I ever lost to in the FD was a turbo'd nitroused Del Sol. I had him totally beat in the 1/8th and then he just flew by me like I was parked!

i lost to a h22 crx with 150NX and we were even till he sprayed!

then all i saw were brake lights bus lenghts ahead!

all i had was intakes, dp
