My absolute favorite all time Porsche (in black or silver though)

Don't forget the theme at the Monterey Historics and I believe the Concourse de Elegance at Pebble Beach is Porsche this year.

no, 70's and 80's. in the 80s when i was 7 i remeber my dad saying that a slant nose meant you were either a coke dealer or a ceo when we saw one.

Air cooled.

And yes, 993 is sex. I hope the freaking economy turns around so I can stop being afraid to dig into my savings and buy a 911.

Let's face it, pretty much every 911 is awesome, I love the 964 too. In my opinion, the 911 is by far the sexiest sports car ever produced. Not to mention, you simply cannot beat the sweet sound of that boxer engine. The exhaust note of a 911 is easily my favorite of any car ever made.

I agree that the 911 is among king of all kings, but they ruined it when they decided to install F in cup holder in it.

911's sound good at high RPM, not nuts about them down low, especially the older aircooled ones.

RB26's sound better though. Maybe I'm biased but OMG do they sound awesome.

Yeah, that is why I am a fan of the 993. It is a bare bones sports car, not a lot of luxury items in the interior. Don't get me wrong though, I would happily drive a 996 4S or GT2, or pretty much any 997. I went for a ride in a 2009 with the new PDK recently, and even though I would never buy anything but a 6-speed manual I have to say that PDK is bad-*******-***. The shifts are freaking lightning fast, and extremely smooth.

Yeah but the RB26 isn't a very distinctive sound. I probably couldn't tell the difference between that, a VQ35, 7M-GTE, etc. You can't mistake a 911 for anything else.

To me the Porsche flat 6 has a very mechanical sound.
I did some research and found that the 86 Carrera 3.2 got to 60 in 5.3 seconds.
That's impressive.
