GOT OWNED BY A 911/930 Slant Nose!!!!

GOT OFF work late last night and decided to head on out to a Friends restaurant for some late night dinner and Came up on a 911 slant nose Porsche heading north on the 805 and being a fan of Porsche's in general and especially the hard to see Slant Nose i made the mistake of doing what i hate when other do when I'm in the Fd. "the look of **** lets race" But not even i just forgot that the driver might not figure out that (being so late in the night with no traffic) i was just admiring his car. But he thought other wise.

We were coasting at a cool 75 Mph. and i Guess he got annoyed cause i was digging his car.

Next thing i saw was his tail lights getting smaller and smaller.
**** i was trying to keep up but forggttaboutit.

This car PULLED HARD and kept Pulling.

What a classic beast.

It was Black Bird. Nah, they're like the really cool older brother who looks down on little brother as just a youngster who's not ready yet.

930 slant nose is hard though...those dudes can mash.

Dude, mod your FD. In stock format, the '86 & newer 911 Turbo is faster than an FD. I'm betting he was modded as well - no wonder you got pulled. Once you attain ~ 350 rwhp, an FD starts getting pretty lethal.

LOL i agree, and the Porsche was MODED pretty heavy from what i gathered. It was pretty and set up damn nice. No big deal. it's kinda like the same experience people have when they see our FD's on the freeway and get pounded. It just happened to be my turn to watch.
NO COMPLAINTS

Agree. I have wasted a few 911s but got pulled just barely by a modded GT2 a few years back when I was running less power & had a passenger (the guy was a Porsche mechanic running the absolute **** out of a customer's car - I would have been pretty chapped if that was my GT2 getting worked over by that Bozo!..he showed absolutely NO mercy to that GT2 - that poor owner had no idea I'm sure). Cheers.

Those Porcshe's are badass no doubt. They look cool too, wish I could say the same thing about the 996 version of the car, although I guess it's in the eye of the beholder Nice to hear you're a good sport about it

911's are by far my favorite type of car out there, with rotaries being my second favorites. I'd absolutely love to get owned by a Slantnose like that after my FB is done.

The slant nose, I'm guessing that one is turbo. I'm a fan of the GT2 911. That to me is one of the sexiest cars out there next to the FD.
But this slant nose, which specific model is it. What years also?

The Slantnose is a model of the late 80's 911 Turbo that was introduced to bring some new "flair" to the 911 stable for exotic looks.

Now you just never know if it is a true slantnose or a look alike due to how easily body panels of just about any 911 are easily swapped up to certain years.

I'm as big a Porsche fan as I am a fan of rotaries, and those who know me know how deep into rotaries I am.

Still yet, my favorite 911 is an '86-89 911 Turbo. There is a doctor here in town who did a 3.8 turbo swap out of a 996 into his '88 911 Turbo. He didn't get onto it at all after I talked to him a while, but the thing was flawless from what I could see.

They are very easy to mod, I know of a street driven one with over 650whp at nearly two bars. when you see older porsch'e like mine you never think much of it. but when you see a turbo, even from a distance you know exactly what it is.

The slant nose is the only porches i like( flip up lights). My uncle owns one an 87, Freaken fast as hell, a Friend of mine i went to school with, I'm not sure if it was his dads or what, wanted to race him in the new Porsche the awd around 400 hp or so. and my uncle finally agreed I'm not 100% sure what he has but i know its fast and hes had it for over 10 years.

So they raced from a roll, we were on the side of the interstate waiting. they went flying past us, my uncle said he was beaten by a little a very little, buttttttt after the race he realized his boost controller was off so he wasn't no where near his boost lvl. Had to leave before any cops came but they may be doing a rematch.

Just wanted to put in my story about them. lol

993 turbo FTW... Oil cooled, AWD, non of the assisted driving rubish... 0-60 in 3.6 seconds.
