So im out with friends last friday and they decide to call it an early night. Its about midnight and there is no way im going home. I ended up with the biggest craving to race because all i kept seeing pass by while i was in the parking lot was competition. Anyway i end up just roaming the streets looking for some action. This is very frustrating because it always seems like everyone is going in the opposite direction. I finally saw a G35 parked at a light up ahead and although i thought i wasnt gonna win i was desperate at this point. I caught up to him and passed him then slowed down. We both looked at each other and down shifted from about 60 mph. I think he screwed up cuz he topped out and just slowed down. When i get to the next light, im sitting in the middle lane behind someone and he pulls up in the right lane but not all the way. So i look out my window and he looks and me like someone in a ferrari would look at some idiot in a civic with a fat exhaust and says "get in front of me". So i do and when the light turned we went at it. I beat him by about 5 car lengths and still pulling away and we slowed down at about 115 mph. At the next light im sitting in the turning lane and hee pulls up beind me and flashes in lights and turns his blinker on. So when the light turned we both drifted the corner and took off. Once again, i beat him by like 4 car lengths before slowing down at about 110mph. He ends pulling up next to me with the most flabbergasted look on his face and said "mad props bro yous straight up pulled on me". I really didnt realize my car was that fast until now. My FC 10th AE has a mock HKS induction system, A racing beat turbo bcak exhaust, fuel cut defender, and an ACT heavy pressure plate clutch. He had full borla exhasut and CAI. Of course also a sick 300hp V6 and 6 spd transmission. So is this normal or did this guy suck at driving?

^ i think you beat him fairly, that 300hp dosent go far in the g/350

^ why you asking me? ask nissan. For 300hp thier cars are slow as hell. Look at the numbers, Ive driven a g not a 350, wasnt blown away.

I raced a G35 coupe on the interstate and beat him by about 1-2 cars from 80 to about 100-110 and then blistered him from 50 to 120 or so, i mean it was bad. I posted a thread about it here, but it was a long time ago. Oh and on that last run i got pulled over for doing 103 in a 70. It sucked.

**** that sucks *** man i haven't gotten a ticket yet (knock on wood). Im glad to kno its not cuz he was a shitty driver. I whored a 98 mustang GT from a 3rd gear 60 mph pull tonight too. It was ridiculous lol. Mustangs crack me up

I cant say Ive raced either but I personally from watching, witnessing races and testaments of owners it seems the 350z is unimpressive and the g35 is just disappointing. That g35 is sexy as **** though, needs a 20b.

hell the **** yeah. G35's are REAL sexy. The one i race was black on black with 19" HRE's. It was gorgeous. 20B in a G35.... someone has to do that ****.

i used to work at inifiniti and have driven many G35's both 6spd and auto. they are beyond un-impressive altho locally there have been a couple freak 350z's at the track running 13's BONE ******* STOCK.... verrrryyyy weird. regardless the main thing you did was annihilate that mans pride... good job

oh and +1 on the sexiness of the G35!

I really don't see how people say G35 are so unimpressive, they run 14.2's stock, that's not all that bad for a decently weighted car, that quarter mile time is from the non-300hp model also.

well EVO's and STi's are different, totally different class, force inducted AWD rockets from the factory.. Not luxury vehicles, i've never driven james car but i have been in a 350z and car and driver actually got the g35 to go from 0-60 quicker.. I'm just saying you can't compare a sports car to a luxury coupe with some get up.
