First kills in my 280ZX.

Well, yesterday I had a run-in with two Dodge Rams that were racing each other. I was doing 70 and they went around me in the right lane. When the second truck was at my rear fender, I slid it into 3rd and rolled on the throttle, matching his speed and quickly pulling away from him AND the other one by the middle of 4th. I slowed back down and let them catch back up, and they wen't WOT again, where I proceeded to shut them back down again before topping 3rd. They were both V8's with loud *** exhausts. Sad really.
Today, I had a run in with an Accord V6 (not sure on year, but newer). We lined up and he signaled for us to go, I nod and downshift to 3rd at 70mph and wait for him. He nails it, as do I. At first I kinda pull a little until about 6,500rpms where it was dead even. I hit 4th and pull about a car on him. By the middle of 4th I was a good 2-3 cars ahead. I topped 4th out and took it to 5th. I didn't let off until the middle of 5th (about 5,000rpms, but I'm not sure on the speed, considering the speedo on a 280ZX stops at 85 lol) and realized "Oh ****, I'm hauling ***, and I won. Yay." I'm sure I was doing a good 130mph, by my seat-o-the-pants meter, lol. Well, there ya go. Nothing major, but my first kills with the car.

Nice kill on the Accord. Was it the coupe? One of my buddies has a 99 Accord V-6 coupe... Mugen full exhaust + headers, CAI, springs. Real nice car, sounds dope, too, especially when V-TEC kicks in. It's quick, also. Following him back from class one time we both got on it, and I slowly crept up to his rear bumper.

I have had a few zcars(4 total all 1977 and older) and ,unless you got boost, the 280zx is rather slow. I have a personal foundness of the 75-77 280's. BTW BOTH the dodges had Top speed GOV. so dont be too excited. If your car Really is stock, I wont pull fifth gear past around 4400 RPM. How many miles you got on the motor?

The Accord was a coupe. As far as I know it was an auto.

socalrotor, YES my car is slow as ****, considering its an N/A 280, but hell if it doesn't hold its own. And as far as I know, the car has about 15x,xxx miles on it (odometer fucked up), but it runs fine. And it went to 5k in 5th, so don't say I'm lying about that, cause thats what the tach read. Granted, it could be off, but thats what IT READ. And I'm not getting defensive or anything, just standing my grounds. And as far as the Rams having GOV, what speed would that be? Because we I let off mid way through 4th, which is about 100-115mph.
