So i just buy my FD This past weekend and it is fukin amazing!! So i drive it around that night with my friend and some little golf GTI comes and zooms past me. My friend said "get him man" so i says fine ok. I was nervous at first cus i used to drive a 91 honda accord. Y was i nervous? I dont know. So i zoom past him too. He had a muffler and maybe an intake. So he tries to catch me and i smoke him by about 2 car lengths.

So today i am on my way home from school and this SLK 320 pulls up and asks me wut kinda car is that? I said it's an rx-7. So the light turns green and she stays with me until i hit 3000 rpm's and just let it go. She catches me at the next light and says,"Wanna race for pinks?" I laughed and said,"i just got it i dont have mine" I dont know why she raced me she was about 40 years old. So i smoke her to the next light and she tells me,"Let me start it in 1st gear insted of drive" I laugh again. Beat her to the next light and she turned.

Maybe i should have raced her for pinks, i could have sold her car to buy some good mods for my FD.

I guess the FD body says race me all over it... i'm gonna get in sooo much trouble with this car

lol, your first "kill" was not even a kill, it was just a couple of ricer flybys... he was probably trying to get next to you to line up for a real race and you just sped off. Nice kill on the slk320 though.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the FD... almost every ricer you meet will wanna race. Especially the ones with the go fast stickers

Yeah, sadly you will find yourself being challenged by every little ******** in a Cavalier or Neon or Civic. Your best bet with these punks is to just laugh and point hysterically, because it has been MY experience that if you race them, they just don't give up. You can smoke them from stoplight to stoplight repeatedly and at some point they will just succumb to doing a ricer flybye, thereby "beating" you....lol!
And then there are the Mustang, Camaro, and Firebird crowd that feel the need to "take that little piece of **** on" with their big, bad V8s. Throw in the DSM boys and girls (and watch that new Eclipse....they aren't too bad with 270 hp!) and you can quickly find yourself racing FAR too often. The law of averages starts to catch up with you quick. We don't need another, "Well ****....wrecked the FD last night......." story!
These cars look like they are doing 200 mph standing still, and everyone wants to take a shot at the champ!

funny, I just thought of it that most of the ricers wont race me they usually stay back...I get most of the domestic V8's that keep trying to race me..

 

When ever I drive the FD no body ever tries to race me, but the fews times that my gf drives it there are literally non-stop challenges. I guess its a rare to see a girl in a FD.

 

Thats been my experience too, except its BMW M3 owners that try to provoke races.

 

lol....just thinking that now that my car is running again, I'm going to have to go to a neighboring little town that is one of those where all the kids are always hanging out downtown and 'dragging Main Street', etc. It will be fun to just cruise thru them and see what I can provoke....

most the challenges i get are from bmw's, mercedes, porches, and so on the exotic list...but i do live in newport beach...someones gotta show them bastards that the rx-7 can hang with em

Around me theres alot of the hondas still, some srt4s, and other random cars and they always try to race me. Not so much like off the light but they'll pace me, then punch it and slow down. Or they'll ride my *** to see if ill take off.

I think its amusing.

 

Rice comes in all flavors, I get everything from new vipers to scion tc's. Most of them wont play w/ me at the light... Ive been driving hoodless since last summer.
