i'd assume it'd be the FC because it disappeared first?

then again, the camera is on a slope.

I have a 91 crx and had an 87 NA and I'm 100% sure my fc would destroy my crx by way more than 2 car lengths.

I didnt realized crx is that slow...or nearly stock n/a fc is that fast..

they both should have about the same amount of whp...but the crx should be lighter??

I don't think so... FC has 146 flywheel hp and the CRX has 92hp. CRX's are pathetically slow with a D15. Any FC, in good running condition, should waste a D15 powered CRX with no problem.

edit: Yes the CRX is lighter but still not fast. The d15 engine is an economy motor made to get 40+ mpg. Hardly the case for the 13b

umm the 91 crx si comes with a d16 sohc with about 115hp i know i own one and it is pretty fast it surprised me it would probably beat my 88 n/a and it was neck and neck with a mitubishi 3000gt it only had a fender length on me.
only thing done to it engine wise is a cold air intake and a full exhaust
it does have coil overs all the way around and every bushing on the car is poly but that is not power mods.
its nice though only a little rust on the quarters and 283k miles on it with all original interior that is mint never smoked in and factory sun roof still works lol.
oh and 42mpg cant beat that

The crx in question isn't an si nor does it have a d16. I wouldn't consider any stock crx or n/a fc fast. they may be quick and light... but fast? no. i agree the crx is amazing for one thnig though.... gas mileage!

well i know the one in question isnt.
i also know some really fast crx's although you are right they are defiantly not stock.
I was just saying that you can buy them with a D16, you don't need to swap it in and they are not hard to find, plus you once you have the D16 SOHC you can just swap on the DOHC heads and then they are fast. Like my friends, swap in a k20 and with forged pistons and a turbo running like 15 psi and then you have a crazy fast car.
but my mostly stock si will max out the speedometer and keep going which is 130mph so in my personal opinion that is pretty fast and it does not have a hard time getting there, i live in NH and the roads around here don't have to many long straight a way's so i know it has to get there fast i need to take it to the track so i can find out what it really can do.
p.s. i am not a honda guy i just have to respect what honda's are capable of.
still would rather be diving the seven i get a lot more respect in that.

Yea I knew the Si came with the D16 some guy up there was talking about a 130hp 1.6l which I assumed he was referring to the B16 from the Civic Si.

I don't doubt your Si Crx can do 130 or so although i'd never take mine over 100 (scary!) At the track I bet your Si would probably run mid to high 15's at best. I've seen many SOHC hondas run and never seen one do better than a 14 sec pass. The 14 sec crowd being the ones you can hardly stand to listen to go down the track. But hey, runnin down the track in any car is pretty fun so give it a shot. I'm actually heading to the track tomorrow in the Vette for the 5th time or so.

I realize you aren't a Honda guy and neither am I. I just like to be realistic about what a stock honda can actually do cuz when I owned my sevens ( Had 5 total). Every CRX, hatch, and sedan on the road with a $50 kragen muffler would rev on me like they had something worth listening to. I have a lot of respect for someone who builds a honda right and actually comes out with a clean, fast, and good looking car. Actually goes for just about any car really.

yeah i know what you mean there are so many Honda's that do that to me.
thankfully my exhaust on the CRX is not a $50 muffler and full cat back magna flow plus its all stock exterior no gay body kits i love stock cars i only ever use factory parts for my cars. it is going to get a JDM SI front bumper though because it looks sick with the yellow fog lights.

its loud under full rev but quiet the rest of the time which is nice.
i can only imagine how scary it would be this one makes me nervous at that speed but it takes it thanks to super tight suspension and no power steering really helps keep my cars under control.
must be nice to have a vette
yeah i was going to say probably does mid 15s high 14s if i can get in a good launch
my goal is low 13s to mid 12s and i will be happy
same with the rx7

according to its previous owner, my 91 si ran 16.0 all day, stock other than some jacked up cone filter and lowering springs

they feel a little quick because they are so light and nimble, but none of them are fast. the d16a6 in the 91 si is the best motor they ever got. sohc non vtec, they never had a b series or more than 100hp from the factory

mine is a bit faster now after i got bored with it looking and driving like it should be faster, so now its got teh vtec and an open exhaust. oh yeah and a turbo too. that made a bit of a difference.

on a stock d16z6 with arp rod bolts and headstuds, and a turbo kit i put together out of junkyard and home depot parts, its quite a bit faster than an evo now on 10 psi. still havent run it at the track, but my buddies evo launches the **** out of me, then gets reeled in pretty easily. his car has just an exhaust. for some reason the only other cars ive ever raced have been srt4's, but 5 or 6 different examples of them, and this rusty little shitbox is a lot faster than any of them have been too lol

not bad for a 500$ car with a 400$ junkyard turbo setup. it actually sounds good too.. none of that nasty raspy **** that hondas always have. sohc turbo ftw
