Fiat kill!!!

Alright, this actually isnt my story, but thought i would share it. It was a car my ski instructor used to own like 20 years ago. He had a friend that was in a Fiat 500F (and similar cars) touring circut. When he would finish a motor, he would give it to my friend. Still ran fine, but not as good as they needed for all out racing. Well, a 69 Charger pulled up to him one day, and revved at him. He was the original old school nerd with the pocket protector, the thin tie, and the long sleeve shirt, always tucked in. Anyways, he revvs his little fiat up, to let the charger know he is game. The light turns green and the charger hooks up. The fiat sat there dancing for a good 2 or 3 seconds, and then it was GONE. Blew the doors off the charger, and made him look twice at the next light. I can only imagine the look on their faces.

(note, i do not know the validity of this story, was not a kill I made, but thought i would relay it anyway. I mean, its a FIAT 500F!!!!)

You know what kind of charger it was? Hemi? 440 wedge? Depending on the model they had everything from 230-425hp.

I could see something as light as a Fiat 500f being surprisingly fast with a race motor though.

Certainly an interesting kill.

It probably wasnt the Slant 6. It was probably a V-8, of that much I am sure. From how he described it, I think that it was an RT, but not sure if it was a 440 or a 426. I really wish i knew more about the race, but like i said, it happened like 2 years before i was born. I certainly would have been laughing my *** off rolling all over the ground.
