fd vs g35

I was making a left hand turn behind a g35 (only mods i could see was exhaust), once we both made the turn he floored it, as did i. I couldnt even go full throttle or else i would have hit the back of his car, it wasnt really a race it was just me behind a slower car at wot. I thought g35s would be a little faster then that, maybe he wasnt trying?

lol. a stock fd runs 13.9 from the factory. those g35 are in the 14's. heck the 350z is like a 14.1 car. you should be running them over if you are a decent driver.

its a luxury sporty car. hardly a car born and bred for the track. that doesn't mean its bad performance 'wize' by any means.

They have a factory supercharger option that is supposed to give it a little extra power they are pretty restricted tho. I'm supposed to race one soon i will post the outcome.

Sorry to burst your bubbles guys, but Motor Trend recorded a best time of 13.6 for a 350z. Although realistically I have seen them go 13.9 at the local track stock, but most of them I have seen run a low 14.

Not all FD's were 13 second cars. My friend with exhaust and intake ran a 14.2 in his with 50k miles on the original motor.

Just to calirfy any car running even 12's should not be considered fast.

^^^ What? There is no supercharger factory option on any Infiniti's. The only "performance" options are an alternative undertray, and a viscous LSD.

You know i haven't even bothered to look it up you may be right.... i was reluctant to believe him at first but he said that it was hidden completely under the plastic engine cover. I will ask him to show me next time.

You can make a significant power gain with your mods, i'm not surprised by the outcome.

From a roll the SRT4 has a pretty much garunteed victory. From a dig if the G35 would get the jump with a really good driver but the SRT would catch him anyway. So for both races SRT<G35.
