FD vs FD Vid

Here is some vid we took the other day while testing my new engine out. I am in the black car running a half bridge T04R @ 21lbs and Zinx is in the red camera car running a T-88 and a healthy streetport @ 15-16lbs. My car still needs more tuning as you can see, but not to bad. Zinx'z car is fast as ****.

Thanks to RX-7 Store for the strong motors.

Pull 4 went smoothly
Pull 5 Radkins broke up again, you can hear it
Pull 6 Intercooler pipe blew off

He is still in the process of tuning

Pretty nice runs. I wish I had somebody to make video with here hin Scottsdale, Arizona. If anyone is up for some in a safe area I'm game.

Do you have a G-tech file on that new motor FD? It looks quick!

The only mis shift was the second to last run where we started in 2nd gear and I spun so bad it wouldnt go into 3rd. 4rth gear tune is off so when I hit 4rth it would break up sometimes, and if it didn't break up it was really rich.

Greg, we gave up on G-techs along time ago, they proved to be inaccurate over 400RWHP

I very much enjoy the videos. Thank you much.

Quite a few people and magazines have used the new style G-techs in very powerful vehicles with perfect results. For my personal use I can do pulls all day long with consistent results. It is a shame hearsay comments such as yours discredit a useful and, if used correctly, accurate testing tool, but I guess it's also easy to just discount the accuracy and not have evidence of performance just the same.

If you did find the time to perform a run make sure your mounting bracket isn't cracked at the little rubber ball. I've had a few of the brackets crack. This can cause unwanted movement of the meter during the run or when pressing buttons before making the run. Also be sure to perform the accelerometer self leveling test pull in testing location. In reviewing your data to ensure a valid run be sure you have a zero Gs baseline before the car starts to move.

Ahhhhhh! It's 2004 all over again! Just kidding, but I doubt I will ever try and g-tech again.
