Thumbs up FD vs 2013 650i

I wound up getting next to a new BMW 650i at a stoplight. I wasn't sure if the guy wanted to race. When the light changed, he took off immediately I was a little slow, as I didn't know we were racing at first. The road went up a hill, but was straight. By the time a reached the end of 2nd gear, I had passed him, more easily than I would have expected. I then had to slow down for traffic. We both gave a thumbs up, and went on our separate ways. I was pretty proud of my car, beating a high powered (ok, I know its heavy) BMW. My mods in sig, putting down around 310 rwhp

Nice. BMW's are usually quite poor in a straight line in comparison to similar sports cars.

650 is no slouch. I believe it's their twin-turbo 4.5l v8. She is a big girl, though.

Definitely nice to see a stock-ish rx7 holding it's own.
I'm shooting for a setup very similar to yours.

Nice!

I had a similar run in with one of those, although mine was on the highway. It was brand new (dealer tag), and the guy was one lane over and about a car length ahead of me. We were doing around 60, when he decided to punch it. I was already in third, and when it was time to shift to 4th, I was already half a car ahead of him.

My power mods are similar to yours, except I have the stock turbos and an ARC SMIC. Oh, and I have an open intake which I'd like to replace with your intake . I dynoed at 323, at 12-ish pounds of boost.

Yeah, I think Adam(or his dyno) is being a wee bit conservative at 310hp.

I played with one a year or so ago. Had wife and kids in the car they were all laughing and having a blast racing down the interstate. Pretty peppy car though I had over 400whp at the time and was pretty well raping it.
