I was cruising down going home, and all of a sudden, this SRT-4 came up from behind me blowin' his BOV's... so i rev'ed a little, and down shifted to second, and i assume he did. But i had no chance in catching up. He smoked me!

Blitz Intercooler, stock twins, Magnaflow Exhaust, Downpipe

Mopar? stage 3

Yeah, the stage 3 SRT is pretty fast in a stright line. Take one on at a tight road corse, like auto-x they dont stand a chance, unless you want to give them extra points for all the 3-wheel salutes the SRT will give around every corner.

My friend has a 400fwp srt4, runs mid 12's. Pretty quick, but upgrade to a full exhaust and turn the boost up to 14 psi and should be a different ball game

That "race" seemed about right.

 

You might not have been able to catch up to him on a straight line however you did not get 'owned'.

i guess it's the fact that people who has srt-4's are so immature. They are pretty annoying, and the fact they pulled up to me and lauged at my FD pissed me off, only makes me wanna whoop on them more....

 

It only takes two years for that car to depreciate down to what an FD is still worth. The power is good, but the fact is Chrysler took an engine that they made for the PT Cruiser, tuned it slightly, threw it into their decade old chassis, and then marketed it toward the young people that don't have a lot of money and want to go fast(95% of whom are ricers). The car is great, and if I could muster up enough respect for that "bargain bin" sport compact then I would definitely buy one. Same engine in a NEW chassis would get my money. As it stands right now the only thing holding that car back sales wise, respect wise, and performance wise(handling & maybe weight) is the fact that they used a Neon chassis. Some people like it, and good for them because they get a cheap fast car, but most don't and those that don't will be forever jealous of its power-to-cost ratio.
