an sr20 with a gt25. i thought the gt25 was smaller than our stock turbo. why would someone spend the money to swap in an sr20 and not go to a decent size turbo.

anyways good kill

I find that unlikely..what are your mods anyways ? i own 3 sr20 powered cars & know a good amount about them and how they run in different chassis, nx2000, se-r,200sx, 240sx....a stock sr20det running a t25 stock turbo @ 6lbs makes about 210hp while a TII makes 190 right ? a 240 weighs less, revs higher, makes power longer, can handle more consistent high boost. i guess i should know your mods before bashing but, w/ a gt25 you can make 325 hp with other bolt ons & proper tuning . a sr20det w/ gt25, bolt ons & front mount @ 15 lbs would school a mildly modded TII. I think dannie needs driving lessons.

actually a 240 weighs 2700, right? a stock tii weights that much as well. then take into consideration that the turbo, intercooler, etc. adds weight to the 240. then this guy with the Tii has atleast exhaust, and a full exhaust on a Tii adds 60-70 hp alone. do the math.

He'll have to make a video before I believe it. I thought TII's weighed more than 2700, yes a base model 240 weighs 2660. But 60- 70 hp for full exhaust ?? that's sounds like magic.

full exhaust, intake, and a hard pipe from afm to turbo, will produce around 60-70 hp gains...of course you will get mad boost creep if you dont port the wastegate..

I'm confused as to how full exhaust gives 60-70 hp....so modding the exhaust of a TII adds more power than the actual turbo.....? hmm

It's not simply that you throw on a racing beat turbo exhaust and gives you the 60-70 hp, but the reason you gain that power is because without that cat and whatnot, your boost starts to creep. For every power gain, there's a reason.

remember this is rotary we are talking, not that piston **** that you like. also he may have weight reduction. i know my 88 weighs just under 2500 lbs.

but lets not start an argument before we know his mods.

so you dont have any sort of piggyback or stanalone to help those mods out? also, how big is the turbo. your injectors are probably way past maxed out with any turbo besides stock. i know one time on one of my cars i was running 10 psi on stock injectors, with stock turbo, a massive streetport, and a 255lph pump, and the duty cycle was at 82-3%. all i can say is be careful.

Haha, he said "piston ****". ..It's such **** that only one car company made rotaries ...? Not to mention that rotaries are the engines that need such attention and rebuilding just to optimize their already marginal power. I don't wanna get too deep in this debate but I'm just saying I'de like to see proof of these kills, otherwise every 18 year old w/ a big muffler will be claiming these "kills".

I don't drive a Honda tough guy... I drive 2 nx2000's a built B13 SE-R and this week a FC3S SE. Don't get too defensive, I just think you're lying about your "Kill"...:0) Post a video and I'll eat my words, and as far as your son goes, maybe you should go bond w/ him instead starting fights on car enthusiast forums...see ya later buddy

It's unfortunate that you know only RX's, and like I said, get a video of you beating that SR20DET and i'll pay you $20 over paypal if you show a win....Up for it ? I am.... And on a side note, EVERYTIME I race my buddies '88 FC, he loses pretty badly to my stock NX, not to mention the full build SE-R... Do a little reading pal. SR's are possibly the most stout 4 cylinders ever made. So next time don't be so ignorant...it makes you look dumb.

Is this a turbo or n/a FC you were racing? There is a huuuge difference between a turbocharged rotary and an n/a rotary. Unless we are talking about a built and not so street legal n/a...and im not talking about bolt-ons.

Just a stock na FC vs. stock na nx2000. I thought it'd be a fair race since the RX actually has a lil' more HP than my NX. over all they're pretty evenly matched in Tq and Hp. nx has a few advantages i guess in the sense that it's lighter, has LSD tranny and makes peak power longer than the rx7.
