Depends if the wrx is modded. My bro running his FC turbo vs a nicely modded WRX was almost even, with maybe a fender or so.

You should kick his ***, just try to get a good launch so you don't get burned out of the hole. Or you could run from a roll

It is not hard to get a WRX in the 12s. Better be sure that it is stock. A TBE, up pipe, TMIC, and UTEC will get that thing in the 12s with a perfect launch. With those mods it would look and sound almost stock +exhaust. Add a VF series turbo, fuel pump, and some injectors and they can run low 12s/high 11s on street tires (though most people couldnt pull that off).

yeah a few wrx guys here just add a manual boost controller for 30 bucks and then dyno to see how much they can raise it and still run a safe afr. Stock runs rich as hell for saftey.

Im not sure about low 12s on a VF, a good friend of mine has a VF 22, with upgraded injectors, and sure its FAST but not as fast as my FD with 13psi and Petit ECU. Im guessing he is doing high 12's if that.

STi, are w/e highly over rated in my opinion. Check out the thread, I raced a "popular" one in my area with upgraded turbo, injectors, pump, front mount, pretty much the works. I rocked him hard on low boost and he was even with me on high boost. My mods are a 93 FD with a ported motor, full exhaust, intake, and 13 psi on a petit ecu, non-seq.

Their both 13bs, and if they both have rebuilds I'd expect both to be ported, the only major difference are the rotors compression. Actually if I could do it all over again, I'd probably start with a clean T2, its alot cheaper to make it fast.

Stock WRX is slow, believe me, I had one. Youll own him. Things would be different if he had TBE+Uppipe and a computer though.
