Not quite 10's... but still pretty much the fastest production car around
(woohoo, first post!)
But I'm sure it'll smoke any 10-second car to a full mile :P
(well, seeing as how it's geared to have extremely high top speeds, unlike most 10-second cars which were originally designed to top out much lower)

Ha, funny that video made it all the way over here. That civic put down like 450ish FWP. The skyline is a real GTR, like 550whp I believe. His car wasnt running 100%. It'd be a good race if it was tuned right though. He was in colorado....but moved across country...cool guy though.
Ok guys, I don't know if anyone said so... Or has figured it out.
But it was a '90 Skyline GT-R R-32. And he wasn't racing. I know the guy who owns the car, name's Paul I think, and he's from another Forum, thats where I met him. He said he wasn't even trying, though one time he spooled the turbo's just to get the guy to romp down on the Civic. He said the Civic was no joke at all, 427hp I believe, said the guy tracked it a LOT. This was on the "Skyline Owners Club" forum a while back... so.. yeah, he wasn't racing him flat out... but honestly, that little booger Civic, probably would have either given him a good run, or ate the Skyline alive. Not sure....
But no, Skylines aren't GOD without some modifications.

maybe a silly question.
how it is that a rhd skyline is cruising down the highway in colorado? i was under the impression that those cars are for off highway competion use only. was he just chancing it or is there some way to register them legally?

but damn that civic is quick.. anyone know wat year civic that is?

wake up, the skyline does not run 11's stock. the r32 rb26dett gtr ran the quickest of all skylines at 12.93 in the 1.4 stock.

u my friend are grossly mistaken
SOO many of them get converted to LHD, to become road legal in LHD only countries..
around here especially..
i have a Purple R33 GTR Vspec, and my friend a R32 GTR.. i can go outside to the drive way and take pics if u don't believe me
quick civic but everyone and their mother has a civic with engine swaps.
The civic may be fast but its an ugly car.
The skyline is fast its rare and i doubt he was even trying, hence why the damn civic kept doing mini fly by's . Using them as bait. No civic is gonna walk that much on a skyline, if the driver is trying to race, im sorry. And if the skyline was trying to race im sure even if the civic stayed ahead , the skyline would have flown by the dude when they got around 140ish , cause once again civics are ecomical. Not a ****** sports car.
I would rather have a 89 turbo caravan then a souped up civic

EXACTLY, civics are econoboxes. Who in their right mind would think that a civic can break the 15's, because once again, it IS an econobox. And if anyone thinks they can make a civic handle better than stock trim, think again, because it's not a sports car. And a civic outdragging a skyline? Please. A skyline is a sports car, no econobox is going to beat it.
wow,not that i like civics or anything but you^^^^need to crawl out of your corner and open your eyes. It is possible to have a fast civic! and youare right, a civic isnt a sports car, but there is a big aftermarket for civics so i dont see why a civic couldnt outdrag a skyline.

didnt even look like the skyline was racing, look at the cars behind the skyline in the first run, it was like the honda was moving (cause he downshifted) but the skyline was driving regularly, the cars behind it was even moving away from the skyline

there are MANY 10 second daily driven Civics. Rev Hard actually sells a 10 second motor package. Skunk has a 10 second normally aspirated Civic. A stock 1992 hatch with a H22 engine in it will run 13s and with a basic bolt on turbo kit will run 12s easy. There is a HUGE aftermarket for Civics and many people have used it.
The R32 was not a particularly fast car in stock trim. Even the R34 wasnt that fast stock.
In the end I would still rather have a stock R32 than ANY civic.

i agree, i prefer rareness over a fast everyday car..i respect hondas, they have proven they can be fast coming from a little puny 4 cyl engine but its not my cup of tea..however i wont **** on them and say they suck cause even though it may be an econobox or a wrong wheel drive car, sometimes those are the cars that would whoop your *** in a race..
