Vs a stock n/a fc? or... what kind of fc?

 

N/A, the only modification i saw was wheels, exhaust may've been aftermarket, looked pretty shiney, but still quiet, S4. I kind of wanted to chat with the guy, but he turned off right after the "race", car looked nice, he just needs to make it so it doesn't lose to Civics now. :P

 

n/a ..... race him in the twisties. you dont use a fork to eat soup... or a n/a fc to drag race.

 

Because there's twisties on a highway. I'd still destroy it in turns.

 

Pffff, until your FWD understeers HORRIBLY around a nice late-apexer and you wonder, "hmm, why am I sliding off the road". Well, I probably shouldn't say that cause you may actually be a good enough driver to be able to counter such as that. Anyway, good kill, I guess. N/A FC's are slow. I know this. I drive one daily.

 

the only way to get any good power out of an na FC through exhaust is to put a loud annoying but good system on it and take off the cats if they allow that where you guys are from but the guy with the fc probably had nothing good under teh hood

 

Jesus Christ, not only that but his Civic is turbo'd. Way to pick on an N/A FC to make yourself not feel so bad about driving a Honda.

He floored it 5 seconds before i did, if you watch, you can tell he's still flooring it when i let off the throttle and slow with the brakes.

I lowered the compression to 8.5:1 (with pistons, not a head gasket), and i'm only running 8-9psi until i upgrade things, fuel pump, MAP, intercooler, charge piping, etc. This is just kind of my trial set-up to make sure everything is working fine.

He revs at everything, he just bought the car for $3,800 (yes, an N/A s4 for $3,800), that's why i picked on him. Figured he'd get the hint that his car isn't that cool when my Civic beat him, but no, the day after, he revved at a friend's Neon SRT-4.

I hope i don't see another FC in town with a huge aluminum wing and spray painted.

 

Still...didn't NA FC's run like 16+ second 1/4 miles? That's still not very impressive to beat.

 

too bad you couldnt race me, i'd show you the meaning of "twisties" as my *** gets smaller and smaller....

 

Of course, your car is faster in general and handles better. N/A FC isn't going to be able to take me in turns, it may handle better, but the difference in accelleration is too great.

I admit it, after turboing my car, the handling went to ****, when i press any more than quarter pedal in turns, it begins plowing, i can only floor it out of turns and i can still feel the front get light.

You think an '85 GSL-SE is special? I had one, you do realize bone stock they run a 15.9? Fun car, i'll admit, header, full exhaust and wiring the frozen ports open gave it alot of power, probably enough to give me Civic a decent run at the moment, handling, it was very good at and in turns, it'd take my Civic.

Do i care? Not really, Civic is a much nicer car to drive and i enjoy working on it, there's so much aftermarket available for it. It's not worn out like a 20 year old car either, when i'm done, your "real" car will be destroyed by my economy car.
