If you actually managed to find a TII that had 100% original everything you could probably beat it on foot as it would barely run, if at all. You really don't seem to get the point. Makes me wonder why you even still post here, as you don't seem to have any technical knowledge in any area of the car whatsoever. Maybe its the venting lounge threads? Like the racist conversations your poor, delicate ears encounter?
Now at least I will have the satisfaction of imagining someone like you behind the wheel of a European car as it disappears from my rear view from a red light, and again when the road curves.
Now at least I will have the satisfaction of imagining someone like you behind the wheel of a European car as it disappears from my rear view from a red light, and again when the road curves.
And your car isn't the fastest thing on the road, there are many, many European cars that would hand you your ***. You can keep thinking what you want though, as long as it helps you sleep at night.
Man, for someone who wants to point out the "typical German car owner" attitude, you sure do have a laughable one yourself. Get all butthurt if someone hints at the fact that there is a faster car than yours. Wahhhhh!
P.S.- I was driving an FC when you were 10. Go home.

I agree with what you are saying. There is something about having a newer more polished car that I really like. I don't know if I would get another older car again unless I was just trying to turn it into a race car. There are still a few nice examples of FCs though that I wouldn't mind having.
However, at least my N/A FC should be able to walk past a Camry.

I have no idea why, but every thread, regardless of what is about. . . 2nd.Gen. . . when you post in it. . . People just come in to try to get jabs in, and it goes to **** in less than a page
I enjoy reading your retorts, regardless of what section it's in.

Ha, thanks. For some reason, it seems that a lot of people seriously dislike me around here.

Exactly. I like having active headlights than turn corners as I turn the wheel. I like having motorized mirrors that fold in when you shut the car off. I like my nice sound system, my integrated iPod, the smooth ride, the fresh leather seats, and the fact that I can drive 120mph and feel like I'm doing 65. I like having a car that a female would actually want to sit in. I assume that most people would, or do, as well.
It seems I should apologize for not having a hobby as exciting as posting dumb **** in the lounge of a message board whose cars I have absolutely no interest in everyday. Or maybe a profession as passionate and mentally rewarding as sitting in a cubicle all day calculating interest rates You're my ******* role model dude.

So what's your plan guy? Hang around here. Talk about how nice your audi is. Throw a few insults at FCs whenever you get a chance? I mean whatever, you seem like a reasonable guy. Most of us here love rotaries and Mazda, we're very passionate, and you're really just being a dick.
The GTR is pretty neat. It has a some issues. Actually it has a TON of issues, especially those sold across the pond. The FD beat it on the touge, the z06 beat it on the nurburing. And they're still going for $106,000, you have to sign a waiver not to complain about brake/transmission noise. As far as Audi goes, my FD in nearly stock trim keeps up with Audi's RS4. What Audi, 15 years ago, was as luxurious as an FD?
And hey pull the old guy card some more, it's really impressive and intimidating. What car do you take to track days again?

LOL at this thread and the GT-R bashing.
During the life of the PGC10 GT-B and 2000 GT-R, it had 50 racing victories to it's name against porsches and much more superior cars at it's time in the mid 60s to the 70s.
Where was the rotary when the R32 GT-R dominated and wiped the floor with everyone in group A in 1990-1991-1992-1993 and in 1994 Group A was changed to the GT Racing series and the GT-R won again.
Hell the FC and FD didn't even much up much of a fight with the HCR31 GTS-R kicked everyone's *** in australia. Then in 1990, 1991 and 1992 the R32 GT-R beat everyone with constant 1-2 finishes in Bathurst until it was outlawed and the series was discontinued.
If the FD was such an ultimate track machine, why do 2 R34 GT-Rs (M-Speed and Nagisa Auto) hold the record at tsukuba circuit at 54 seconds behind the HKS EVO, and the 2 fastest FDs (R-Magic and Panspeed) can pull off only 55s? Hell an old *** R32 GT-R can pull off a respectable 56 sec time.
GT-Rs do break, they have weaknesses. Whether it's the R35 or an RB powered GT-R. Like rotaries never break?
The Z06 beat the R35 at the Nurburgring? Proof/Remind me please. I forgot all the bullshit about chevy and porsche whining. If i remember right, they were building the ZR1 to take on the V SPEC and beat the regular R35.
Even in american touge: Mine's R34 and the XS Engineering R34 pretty much dominated the playing field and XS engineering's R32 GT-R still holds a 1 min 49 second time at buttonwillow set back in 2006. Sure, the Twins Turbo FD pulled off a 1:48, but the car caught on fire right after the race and has not been seen competing at it's full potential since then. Meanwhile all the GT-Rs get driven home or get trailered in 1 piece.
Granted the R33 GT-R and R34 GT-R was nowhere as successful as the 32, it still raced in GT and did consistently well and lemans as well in 95 (10th overall finish and 5th in it's GT1 Class only to be beaten by McLaren F1 GTRs). They still continued to win races in JGTC, Super Taikyu, and many races around the world fielded by privateers.
So yeah, the GT-R has kinda a history of kicking *** and i am sure it would have had great success here if it was raced and sold here as well. I am sure within 1-2 years the R35 will be kicking as much *** as the R32 if not more.
That being said, i do respect and love the rotary and the rx series (i had one at a point), and plan on making the FD a "to do" car as the next order. Their performance has also set many benchmarks for motorsports in history as well.

You mention american touge, if you happen to follow any of the Hot version DVD's I remember the Mines gtr that was the current touge monster loosing to the re amemiya fd. In saying that the only shop here that sells the dvd's hasn't had any new issues in in over a year

There was never an FD that competed successfully in american touge. The RE-Amemiya FD beat the M.C.R R34 and M.C.R R35 GT-R in Hot Version in the Japanese Touge Series. The RE-Amemiya FD was then defeated by the new J's Racing S2000 in the rain.

Of course AWD cars like the GTR and the Evo will dominate in a circuit that is that small. Cars like rx7s are for high speed cornering, they're at a disadvantage in tsukuba's ultra-tight lower speed hairpins. And it's awesome that you can essentially say; so what a 16 year old chassis holds a ton of FR records. And you can blah blah about how you've got a hardon for the GTR because it's new. I've got a couple friends that were in the gumball this year, and all three GTRs broke down with tranny issues before they finished.
And what the hell are you talking about? The FD dominated Bathurst, the last 12hr Bathurst endurance race was won by an Rx7. They won consecutively through '92 and '93, and in '95 against porsche. And speaking of rotaries; who won the rolex 24? An rx8, against porsches and ferraris.
And the Nissan's MODDED (factory admitted) GTR ran a 7:54 in '08. The z06 ran a 7:40. Then the '09 "V-spec" GTR that's not available to the public yet ran a 7:29. The Zr1 soon after ran a 7:26
But all of that is beside the point. Why are you an ******* to people defending rx7s on an rx7 forum? It's not that big of a deal, debating X car vs. Y car in Z conditions. But you've got a complete arrogance about you that Audi (and GTR) owners are typically plagued with.

And no it doesn't.
Ha, are you seriously trying to call an FD luxurious? What the hell is luxurious about an FD? is it the cheap plastic trim? Serious question- Do you smoke meth?
And lastly, who gives a flying **** comparing the luxury of two cars 15 years ago? What does that have to do with anything at all? Hey, 15 years ago my dads ***** were bigger than mine because I was only 11. Take that.
I must ask, how dumb are you?
It is seriously impressive and intimidating that you take your car to track days. No joke, you have no idea how ******* awesome you are. I couldn't be more serious, I admire guys like you that have the ***** to run their own vehicle around a track behind a lead car and wave people by them. It takes big old *****, that's for sure. It also shows how experienced you are with cars too! We are seriously all impressed by that. You go to track days, so you're definitely not a ricer/drifter ****** or anything.
Moron.

The MINES GTR is a WHOLE different animal.
And why do people mention le mans? LOL Mazda won that back in 1991, its ******* 2009 now hahah

Its funny how you feel the need to talk down to rotary owners. Dont you ever think about what the audi S4 owners are saying about your lowly a4? The fact of the matter is dont compare your second rate audi to any rotary because if you think what your saying holds any water, your completely out of your mind.

My second rate Audi? Yeah I won't be comparing my second rate Audi to any of your 16 year old cars. I'd be stupid to do that. It's definitely not anywhere near as nice as your loud, smokey, exhaust gas-smelling, two decade old FC.
And actually, my friend who owns an RS4 loves my car as well. It's pretty quick when tuned, and a lot of fun to drive. Nowhere did I claim it to be the fastest thing on the planet, and nor do I give a ****. It's my daily driver you ******* dolt, It gets me to and from work and does so efficiently, comfortably, and puts a smile on my face.
Where do they breed you morons anyways? Do you not know that I have owned a rotary car since I was 16 years old? It's not like you dipshits are telling me something that I don't know here, rather you are just looking like total idiots who truly think RX-7's are the best cars on the planet. Newsflash, they aren't. Yes they are cool, yes they are fun, but there are more enjoyable cars out there.
