Any FD's have encounters with TT 350z?

I raced a a turbo 350z with alot of money into it when I got my car, with only an exhaust, and I stuck with him at his door. IDK if it was a TT or just a single but has anyone had any encounters with TT 350z's? My car is about to be single turbo on a fresh rebuild and fresh streetport so I was wondering what the outcome would be? Share stories or insight please...

If you stuck by it with only exhaust, im sure you could take it with a single turbo.

I raced a turbo 350z the other night. I dont know if it was single or twin, but he blewoff on me me while i was coming home on the freeway. I caught up to him and gave him a thumbs up cuz it was definitely a clean 350. He honked 3 times and by the end i pulled about 2 1/2 to 3 cars on him, and i am single turbo.

i owned a 350 for about a year, and hung out on my350z.com about as much as i do here(a lot). and there are some fast ones, but theyres a lot more not so fast ones, lol. They have a stickied thread of verified quarter mile times, and there are awesome drivers running mid- low 13's BONE STOCK, AND there are some twin turbos runnin the same! so its definitly a drivers car.

but, if you think about it, a lot of 350 owners buy the car for its looks, and its really more of a touring car than an FD. so theres quite a few with 20's and subs!

My friend has a 535rwp TT 350z. He took me for a ride and it doesnt feel nearly as fast as mine. But we will see. I put down 490rwp in my fd, so it should be a great race considering the weight difference. I will try and video it.

I have personally seen TTZ's WALK 420hp rx7s. We have a guy that is down around our area that has a VERY fast one. The z and 1wide7 went at it one night and he pulled 2-3 cars on him. When build right, with some boost they are capable of 131-135s. Ray of PFsupercars has one as well, which is VERY fast and went low 11s at 13xmph. You need atleast 475+whp to get close to a 130mph trap and hang with these things on the highway.

I have never seen a 350Z TT run anything near 130 mph? I ran one in my Yellow car ~ 3 yrs ago (he came after me as me & the wife were just driving home from dinner....his plate was, "EYEWON"). It was pretty quick, but not quick enough - I pulled him several times by 2 - 3 cars from 40 mph rolls to about 80 mph.

I've pulled a stock C6 ZO6 & this guy's 350Z TT was not nearly as fast. But as we all know, one experience does mean all TTz's run the same, but here is a pretty good list....they are all pretty much trapping 113 to 121 mph (2 guys trapped 123 & 124 mph but have either a built motor running a single turbo or a 150 Hp nitrous shot).....Those things are just heavier at ~ 3,200 lbs.

from personal experience a BUILT motor tt will pull close to 600 whp on pump gas there are 2 in our (mine, turbodrx7) area. 1 of them is ray wilson of pf supercars.
both of these Z's trap around 130 ish.

now there are a number of them that just bolted on the tubo kit and only make around 400 ish and thats not enough power to weight to trap that high.

The first day driving my FD after returning from Iraq, I had a turbo'd 350 trying to race me. My car was bone stock. I hope to find it one day after my rebuild/single conversion. No Idea if it was single or twin.

I was messing around with another turbo FB the other weekend and a TT Z rolled up on us. The thing was insane. I asked him how much hp he made and he said that he was not sure since he just put the car together. He did say that he has a firend with a 440whp Z, and he is quite a bit faster than him.

All I know is that I was only at 7psi and he was not a huge amount faster than me. The difference was noticable though. We never got a side by side run. I think that it is because he has the weight thing going against him.

Turbonetics

400whp with turbonetics single turbo and you got 11sec qtr at 120mph... All on stock block with just different wastegate config and of course tuning... Very reliable setup also.

do you guy think that a 100% stock fd ( just have downpipe and exhaust ) will be able to keep up with the 350z or it will murder the 100% stock fd?

It would probably beat the FD, but not by much. However if the FD was converted to a single turbo with a little more boost, the FD would take it.

If your street-port, GT35R set-up is tuned nicely, you will dominate all life on earth with that build...
