99 GS-T vs Civic .... Kinda

Last night i couldn't take it any longer, i've been driving a truck for work for months....and it's simply not fun. The FD has been down for a while, (Boost/Oil Leak) Anyway!
Took a friends 99 Eclipse GS-T out for a run last night. I live in Orange County So-cal. Streets and freeways were clear all around, around 12:00 - 1:00 am.
I'm Cruising around 100mph on the 22E coming back home.... from the onramp about 1/8 mile ahead i see this civic bouncing like hell roll up on the freeway, just from the way the suspention was i know it to be a waist of time. So i keep on my 100 and look forward for some sleep. 3 lane freeway and i'm in the middle he goes straight to the fast lane no singnal nada hard left i was plenty far away so no need for worries i pass him by. Go figure he wants to tag along. To see if he's even interested i take her up to 120 and watch for the trail. And yes...there it is following along he does, Right now the 22E in that area has construction so i slow down to the speedlimit 55. I don't want any hastle from the cops or driving that fast around guys working. He doesn't feel like slowing though. So on he goes 100+ through the construction. tsk tsk IMO thats just dumb, anyway...heres the part that blew my mind, this guy kills his lights. I was wondering what the hell he was doing, after the construction zone i catch up to see if it was a fuse that had blown. (MAybe it's just me but running with no lights just seems retarded...whats the point, oh joy now they can't see me when i drive like a moron) So 130mph i go after this guy Seems he slowed a little because doesn't seem like it took that long to get next to him. And i was right no fuse blown ...he was just driving wihtout his lights on. Whatever, toeachthereown. When i'm next to him this kinda pissed me off, guy looks over with death on his face. WTF?? Guess he had a bad night or something. So i tag along for 1/8 mile and going about 80-90 and give this guy a slow 3 blows on the horn to see if he's interested for a race (From 80-90 kinda high speed but whatever) I have no idea if he even tried or knew what i was doing becuase at the end of the 3rd blow of the horn i was off and he was gone in the rear. No fun. I'm like fine no interest i'll just cruise and listen to some music, bed still sounded good then. i'm doing 70 i think and here comes the little guy with the no lights. couldn't see him worth a sheit and does the fly by. Best part of the whole thing,.. seeing this guy trying to cut 3 lanes to get on the 5South and almost trashing his car. I just didn't understand it, nothing there, nobody to race with no lights on nobody can see you behind them.

Anyway,...not a kill not much of anything, but it was nice getting back into a car with some boost.

Quick (?) Does the no lights make any sence?? PRetty sure i know the answer but wanting some of you'z guy'z imput.
Take care all!

Cosmo_TT ...I agree with you. But i helped build that car, not a lot done. But a little, i maintain it as well, and the friend knows exactly how i drive. IT's not something that i do behind the back of a friend.

Arrow

He probably got that headlight **** from watching initial d. Takumi did that in a few episodes so that the opponent wouldnt see him and know which side to block so he can pass on. Dumb ricer **** to do it on a highway.
