88 Turbovert Vs. 00' Mustang

He's a friend of mine, friendly race on a deserted 4 lane highway

Him:
00' 3.8L V6 Mustang
Full exhaust
True CAI
GT Tranny & Rear end

Is it just me or do Ford engines sound awesome?

Me:
88' S4 TII swapped Convertible
Full RB Turbo-Back exhaust
Ported wastegate
FCD
Car is running SUPER rich (140 miles out of a 100% highway tank FTL )

We did a few runs:

1rst
25mph roll. I dump the clutch in first and loose all traction (wet) but teh turbo spools and I'm at his bumper as I finish second. I'm 3 cars ahead by the time I shift into 5th (apparently massive flames shot out as I shift out of 4rth ) and we shut down.

2nd
I caught him right in my power band in 3rd and steadily pull away until the top of fourth.

etc. etc.

Unfortunately I was boosting 12psi because it's cold out at this time. Anything beyond 10psi on my setup is unsafe so no more racing for me until she is fixed

I think we'd have been even if we had raced at 3pm instead of 3am.
