88 SE vs: Newer Celica GTS and 86 Camaro Z28

Today is my last day driving the RX-7 until next year, so I went out with my friends to the local hotspot for a few cruises and to chill. Anyways during our first ride threw town I seen my friend, pulled to a side road to turn around. I eventually got behind a newer model Celica GTS, two kids were driving it, they were smoking and overall looked kinda weird. We pulled up to a stop light in the industrial part of town, they didn't look over or anything, just sat there. I kept talking to my little buddy and when the light turned green, nothing happened, we both eased off to the next light. My friend and I just kept talking, I was looking at a car in the other lane when the light turned green.

The Celica GUNNED it and I lurched forward. After I seen it was clear I gave it nuts in first and by 50 mph I caught up. After I caught up behind the Celica when I heard the exhaust of his car again go into WOT. I downshifted to catch up and pass him as we begun to merge onto highway two. There I was a car or two ahead when I looked in my rear view mirror where they were comming behind me at full force. I seen that, told my friend "**** no" and downshifted into third at around 65mph. By the time they got up to me I was in WOT, their car seemingly stopped and I ran way. They tried this again with the same result. But this time instead of passing them I slowed down, showed "3" with my finger and pointed to my horn. Celica boy nodded knowing what was going on.

I honked 3 times going about 62mph (right after the end of my 2nd gear )! Honk 3 we were off, I head the Celica's engine roar to life as my exhaust (now quiet with my presilencer) flares up in response. By the time I hit the end of third hes at my rear wheel, but at 5k in 4th I begun to pull like crazy until 4 cars separates myself and the Celica, I started to shut down with the lead at 120mph (in the sticks yo!)I move into the turning lane and they wave at us as they drive by, we wave back, since it was a fun run.

A little bit later I meet up with a friend of mine with a Camaro Z28, I ask him if its ok to race mainly because a friend of his has a 84 Z28 with a Holley intake, full exhaust, and a cam, who has been previously talking **** about my 1.3l. My friend Jason's Z28 has a full exhaust minus the header. We roll out to highway 2 (anyone familar with this highway knows that there isn't **** on it) and meet up at the first stop light. I look over and say some stupid line about racing from the Fast and Furious, we agree on a 10mph roll and begin to roll out. I honk 3 times and we're off! Threw first and second the Camaro was hanging with me but when I got into 3rd I put the cars on him up until 95mph, when I shut down.

Two kills today, even though not too impressive, we're fun.

Mods in sig.

You know you could have just edited the first post rather than posting a new one 1 minute after the first.

I destroyed a celica gts once with a 95 Grand Cherokee V8 AWD. The kid still had temp tags on the car too, which made it that much better. He wasn't a very good driver though, after the light turned green I was halfway through the intersection before I heard him spinning his tires. I used to take the Jeep to the track just for fun. I think the best time it got was 16.12.

Why does it even matter to you? I just reposted again, so I didn't have to take my crappy 56k (as anyone as AOL knows I have) and go to a page that'd take me a minute to load anyways. So why did you even make a thread to point it out? Its not like I'm post whoring.

glocknesmonster: Sorry, its just what I got out of it , I do love your modified NA, way to keep it up ;o!
