87 TII vs 2003 Lincoln LS V8

i have an intake and downpipe....im overboosting to about 8PSI

he was stock

me ~200hp...im assuming

him 280 hp 286 tq

this was completely even up to 135mph. his car weighs 3700lbs but i thought he would pull away for sure. it was like we were cruising at the same speed but we were both accelerating hard. i was surprised...it was fun...not a kill but i thought id share anyways.

i didnt know guys with lincolns raced haha...

My mom has a 2004 V8. They handle exceptionally well for their size(some F1 guys worked on it or w/e). The power is good also. It seemed as though he probably should have pulled though..Maybe you have more than 200hp...or the weight factor really played a big role. Nevertheless, good run!

Lincoln LS guys usually race a lot...the LS is the "fun" car of the group.

well what would i get from K&N intake, my downpipe is just empty (i screwdrivered the precat) and my boost around 8PSI. it might be higher cause i hit fuel cut if i go full throttle....and thats not till 8.6. so i go a little less than full. i need an FCD real bad.

Again there you go shooting your mouth... in the prevous post, i was refering to road course conditions. Hence the car had the advantage. Of course a bike is going to have advantage in a dag race! From a roll though aerodynamics play in, and weight becomes less of a factor. Unless you are a fully built drag car, taking a bike from a dig will be hard. I thought he raced the lincoln from a dig, in which case he should have diffently won. However even though it was from a roll. His aerdynamics should have played in and given him the edge. Before you go shooting your mouth again, read. You basically think in any situation a bike should win just because it weighs nothing. Well sir what are you going to say when some of the NA import guys weighing in at 1800-2k lbs with 350hp are running just as fast as bikes? Again from a dig a bike should win 99% of the time. On a road course and from a roll to many factors come into play. Such as some 900hp supras racing bikes on the highway. So please dont turn this into another BS contest with everyone

well it was dead even. up to 135 from about 70. maybe my car isnt running as well as it should be. i dont know but those are the facts. weight will make more of a difference from a dig, but we were going highway speeds already.

To be completely honest he wouldnt be too far behind. If you don't have suspension mods he would probably be next to you or even pass you.
