86 FC vs. 97 M3
my buddy just bought a 97 M3 stock with intake lowering springs and yoko's(claims 240 WHP stock)
my car is an 86 GXL....mods are;
-87 Jspec TII...rebuilt large street port
-stock turbo, stock boost(well 8-10 psi is what it's running)
-ebay FMIC kit
-RC 750cc primaries/1200cc secondaries
-Walbro FP
-SHO E-fan
-bosch coils
-Microtech LT10s tuned by Archer racing in Duluth, MN (it will get retuned soon)
-tokico blue struts/RB springs n sways
-pilot sport cup rears 225/40 zr17
dyno'd on mustang dyno...211 RWHP/ 198 RWTQ that was rich and then we leaned it out and tuned some more on the street, i think this is no where near actual numbers now.
ok now that's out of the way....we lined at lights and ran about 1/3 mile runs. every race i warmed the tires he didn't do much. we went on green and the first two races i spun 1st small chirp 2nd and away she went. his bumper stayed next to my door till 3rd the first 2 races then i pulled and just kept pulling on him. the 3rd race i tried to launch 1000 rpm's higher and spun through first to 8K and shifted into second he pulled just passed my front bumper and then i hooked up and finished the race dead even. and then the 4th race was the best for me, i let em warm up alot and launched almost perfect chearped a bit and then just pulled on him and every gear after that i pulled more first 2 races i won by 4 or 5 cars 4th race it must have been like 6 or 7 i am finally happy with this cars swap and it's only on stock boost lol.
oh yeah 5th race was a 1st gear role against a 2nd gen GSX with mods not sure what but he always talks alot of **** about how fast it is....anyway i pulled and pulled and pulled some more that one i got bored and let off.
over all this is better than the 2 01 Stangs GT's i beat
thanks for all the help and reading this Kill
keep it spoolin'

for a 97 M3, they book at 13,000-15,000.
as for the street racing thing, i really don't like doing it myself i rather watch them, and race mine at the track but i need to work on driving this thing now that it's different and paying 60 bucks for 8-10 runs is not worth while practice. i lost my license not long ago for being stupid on the street and really would like to keep so this is a few and far between type of thing.
thanks for the comment, i will try and get some pics of our cars and hopefully the race on here this weekend

hey........"rocking".....do you know the dude in the cities with the e30(not really sure if that's it but...) white caged you know pretty much bad *** or is that your's? that thing is by fair one of the coolest Bimmers i've ever seen. anywho it was a fun race i think he's a little bummed because he wasn't even close to me, that and before my car was swapped he had a 3 series and he barely kept up with me. so i did the swap and he got the M3 and still he can't win. lol im trying to talk him into getting some upgrades.

well went out again last night and ran a '99 2.5 rs with a t03/04e turbo on 8psi from a dig i pulled 1/2 car on him and then hit 2nd and just pulled a lil more every gear, top of 4th i was about 4-5 cars on him(according to people watching.
then i ran against a previously supercharged teg which is now running a turbo not sure what he has done to it because he would pop the hood. so we went from a dig both spun on launch and then i pulled about half a car ahead going into 2nd, and by the top of 4th they sadi i was a little over a car and a half ahead.
and the final race of the night was against a dakota 318ci with a disco potatoe running something like 13-15psi he jumped the start and pulled his rear bumper even with my front, i hit 2nd and reeled him in i let off at about 2 cars ahead.
very happy and surprised with the races i thought i would loose to the teg and the subie would be closer but i won't argue. i was supposed to race a stage 2 SRT-4 but he didn't show i had a new BC on it but didn't see anymore than 0.7 bar of boost so not sure what was going on but she rips pretty good

well i rematched the turbo'd Dakota and we ran 2 races from a dig and the first one, my front bumper was next to his rear tire. and the second his front bumper was next to my rear bumper. so i'd say they're pretty close.....good runs to say the least.
