This kid I work with is 16 so this may be attributed to driver newbness, but anywho, his dad just restored a '67 chevy SWB (its pretty badass LOOKING) and put in a new 350 4 bolt main. So i went by his house today cause he was having trouble getting his dads mustang to start. I was getting ate up by mesquitoes so I said F-it i quit. As i was leaving he said "hey wanna race"? I was like in what your truck? He said hell yeah with a **** eating grin so i said bring it beotch! Lined up and went on 3 honks. First way down the street we raced to a dumpster about 1/8 mile down. I let off the clutch perfectly and chirped second as his open diff spun like mad!!! He never had a chance though, beat him by 2 or 3 lengths. Turned around and went at it again, This time i had a shitty launch and nearly stalled it, but got back in it. He was about a half car lenght ahead and I was realin' him in!! By third gear i was a car length ahead. His pride was a little hurt, especially since his dad told him it would beat anything in his highschools lot!! Enjoy.

I bet I could kick my cars *** if I were driving it! But yes, he just got his license so its probably just his first time to push the gas all the way to the floor. But remember, a '67 is heavy as ****, and that new 350 only makes like 250 HP MAYBE. I'll see if his dad will race me tomorrow. Just to rub salt in the wounds

 

Yeah this is the first import I've had, and even though the FB is dead sexy, it has nothing on the good 'ole late 60's, early 70's All American Chevy's.
